Great location for the beach. Food and drink options throughout the day were excellent. I really enjoyed the extra effort made for Christmas. Evening entertainment was not always worth staying for, but hotel was convenient to yumbo center.

Comfortable, clean and friendly
Rooms are small but very clean, modern and comfortable with balcony overlooking the pools / sea and large bathroom with twin sinks and rain shower. Staff are all friendly and helpful. All-inclusive with a good choice of drinks in the bars and a wide variety of food in the restaurant of a reasonable standard. Choice of two unheated pools with comfortable loungers and free towels and a pool bar for drinks and snacks. Good quality evening family entertainment. Well-appointed gym. Handy luggage storage and shower facilities mean that if you have time to kill between checking out of your room and catching your flight you can stay and enjoy the pool. Short walk from the beach, Yumbo, Cita etc. Only negative was late night noise from nearby bars.

Excellent hotel.
This hotel is truely fabulous. Already booked for next year. The food is amazing & so varied. There is a lovely bar which we went to every night. The bathroom is huge & the beds comfortable.

I would highly recommend this hotel. The location is ideal for the beach and shopping. The selection of food and drinks is second to none. The staff are so helpful and professional I could not fault this hotel in anyway.

For older clientele but superb central location
Very peaceful hotel for mostly an older clientele. The inclusive half board was a pleasant surprise. The central location near the Yumbo centre makes it ideal for people who want to party but then return to a quieter hotel.

Stayed for 4 nights at the end of our trip round GC. Hotel is a bit tired and could do with some updating but everywhere was spotlessly clean. Wifi is only available in the public areas and it would be nice to have it in the rooms. Breakfast and dinner buffets are plentiful and varied but to our taste the food was salty and bland and dinner felt a bit rushed. Vegetarians would probably struggle to find variety. Hotel is quiet (a plus for us) and the music stops around 10.

Beautiful hotel
This is a fantastic hotel with hugely friendly employees. The hotel was clean, cool and the food was delicious, offering variety every night with the buffet. Thoroughly recommend this hotel.

The staff are very helpful. But hotel is a little old . Food is good. Problems: wifi very bad and taking a shower is a challenge as water changes from very cold to very hot by itself.

Great stay went with freinds and their young child... It suited us peferctly... The staff were beyond amazing a credit to the hotel... Wonderful hotel, rooms were a bit dated but that did not effect the holiday. Buffett was great plenty of choice

Comfortable and convenient Hotel
This my 5th visit to this hotel. I like it principally, because of its location. Near to the beach as well as the Yumbo Centre, where there are lots of shops, the bus station where you can take a bus to the airport or to anywhere on the island. The very helpful Tourist Office is located there as well. The food in the hotel is very good, the pool and the pool area are great. The rooms are comfortable and everything works. If you find the bed too hard, they will provide an extra mattress. I would have rated the hotel higher, but I think the 20 Euro a week charge for wifi is disgraceful, specially as it is only available in the common area on the ground floor.

Loved every minute!
From our very first arrival at your hotel, myself, husband and son truly had a wonderful experience. We could not fault a thing. Made to feel so welcome by your friendly staff, rooms spotlessly clean and the tastiest food to cater for every palate. The beach, was well within walking distance with plenty to see and do. Definitely our 2015 Gran Canaria holiday staying at Hotel Riu Palmeras will always be remembered! A tear in my eye was when I left to go home. Thankyou!

We had a wonderful and relaxing time in this centrally located hotel in Playa del Ingles, very much helped by the friendly and attentive staff and manager. Both the Breakfast and Dinner Buffet offered a wide and delicious variety of local and international dishes which changed daily in case of the Dinner Buffet. The pool area and gardens are very well maintained, peaceful and relaxing. Evening entertainment offered a variety of acts incl. the resident band. My only gripe, please no cocktail cherry in my next Cosmopolitan.

Just returned from a weeks stay at the Rui Palmeras .From our arrival which was around 10pm (a cold buffet had been put aside for us) to our departure I can honestly say that ALL of the staff we encountered could not do enough to make our stay a memorable one. They really know how to provide a high standard of service. The facilities are spotless including the pool area. The food is really good and there is plenty of variety. The hotel is situated a 5 minute walk from the beach and 10 minutes from the Yumbo Shopping Centre. The only negative comment I could make would be that we had to pay for internet usage which in many hotels we have stayed in is usually free of charge however it did not impact on our holiday. Prices for drinks and bar food is actually cheaper than the bars and restaurants and therefore encourages you to spend more time at the hotel.

The staff at the hotel are fantastic and can't do enough for you. The food was varied and of a very high quality. Located close to the beech and major shopping centres. The hotel has a very large pool and plenty of sun loungers available.

The rooms are clean but a bit dated. Nice pool area. We stayed half board and the food was very good. This was one of six hotels that we stayed in over ten days, it was the most expensive and the only one that didn't give you free Wi-Fi.

Great place for a holiday
All the staff at this hotel from Manager to Maid were very friendly and cheerful. The food was very good and there was always plenty of choice. There was always plenty of sunbeds available around the pool. The evening entertainment was varied and of a very proffessional standard. All in all it was a very enjoyable stay.

First impressions of the hotel were excellent. Staff were more than helpful and very polite. Porter service again excellent. The hotel bedrooms are an entirely different matter. Furniture is dated and the room small. Balconies are all overlooked with minimal furniture all of which is plastic (one chair was broken) Bathroom is small but ample with excellent lighting. No tea and coffee facility and very expensive mini bar. Surrounding area is very built up and fairly run down Dinner was excellent with first rate service and very friendly staff. Our second experience of a Riu hotel and there will not be a third.

Great Playa del Ingles 4 star hotel
An excellent hotel (stayed in one of their 'bungalows' which was more like a two floor suite) with fantastic staff, great buffet breakfast and dinner, and clean rooms, all within impressive grounds. Felt like a 4 star hotel, although we did not stay in their main rooms. This hotel clearly attracts a more mature cliental which is either good or bad depending on your own age group.

Rien d’un palace
Ce Riu n’a rien d’un palace si ce n’est la taille de son infrastructure. C est un lieu pour tour opérateur (Tiu en l’occurrence). Un lieu où la moyenne d’âge est fort élevée et surtout où la nourriture mériterait le passage de l’hygiène. À côté de ça, le personnel est au petit soin et essaye de compenser, …, en vain. Vraiment très déçu par ce séjour.
