Beautiful, clean resort

Posted 04-Aug-2017
We really enjoyed our stay at Ocean Club West. The grounds are beautiful, pool is very clean and beach is gorgeous. Our room was very spacious and appeared to be newly renovated. Kitchen was stocked with every utensil and gadget you could possible need. We had a few minor problems with our room ( broken sofa bed and air conditioning) and the staff remedied the problems within an hour. There are kayaks and paddle boards available on the beach to use. We mainly ate in our room (there is a grocery store within walking distance). We only ate breakfast at the restaurant the day we left. The food was good and so was the service. There are several restaurants within walking distance and the location is pretty central. Overall, we were very happy with this resort and would definitely recommend it!

Nice place for the money with plenty of room

Posted 03-Aug-2017
Pros: location/rooms/pool/beach
Cons: See above
Location: Good, but still need a rental car, which is probably true for anywhere if you want to get out. cabs are too expensive....
Rooms: Nice roomy rooms and at a decent price. Only comment on room was the need for better beds. They were a little uncomfortable. Other than that, spacious and clean and good for large families/groups Pool/Beech: Great Pool and great Beach front Location: Great, right in central Grace Bay. Close to everything, but still need a rental car. Car to grocery store is only 10mins but hard to carry stuff back. Restaurant: This is my major complaint: the menu is sparse and half of it is focused on sushi which limits options. Drinks are questionable. I was charged for Kettle-one vodka but never saw him poor it out of a kettle one bottle. Could never get an actual vodka tonic. they kept using Club Soda. Pina colada's were lame.... Suggest they just change to a standard restaurant/bar like "Somewhere" down the road in the Bight.. they would probably get more buisness

Beautiful resort on Grace Bay Beach

Posted 03-Aug-2017
Pros: Location, landscaping, beach property, pool
Cons: Elevators - my husband is old. Bigger menu in restaurant. Allow shuttle to take people to shopping areas.
Location: 10 min walk to grocery store and a few shops along the way; 30 mins + to larger shopping area. Not much to do besides going to beach or pool.
Loved our stay at Ocean Club West. We rented a deluxe 1-bed suite with ocean/pool view. Cool breeze on our 3rd floor screened balcony. Used the washer/ dryer -great convenience; walked to nearby grocery store. Food at Solana was good but expensive, had good service. Needs a bigger menu. Took shuttle to Ocean Club East and ate there one night at Cabana - food was very good. Beach was beautiful, not crowded at all. Weather was hotter than expected but still cooler than Oklahoma.

Great location, nearby supermarket, ice cream shops etc. On-site restaurant is very average, bad breakfast experience and mediocre dinner. Better places close by.

Great hotel on beautiful Grace Bay.

Posted 25-Jul-2017
Pros: Hotel room was spacious and comfortable. Great beach, pool, tennis courts, fitness center.
Cons: We wish the free bikes/paddle boards were in better shape and there were more of them!
Location: Great location and beach. Good restaurants and market within walking distance.
Our family of four just returned from a week from Turks & Caicos. We stayed at the Ocean Club West and we really enjoyed the hotel, the location and the beach. Room was big and comfortable. We used the small kitchen for breakfast and lunches and ate dinner out as restaurants are expensive! Used the free bikes a lot to get around (did not have a rental car). Great snorkeling at Coral Gardens and Smith Reef. Thursday night community Fish Fry was great.

Great Location, Amazing Beach, Beautiful Grounds

Posted 24-Jul-2017
Pros: Beautiful Grounds.Great location, Amazing beach, washer/dryer in rooms, mini kitchen, fully screened balconies, hotel pool makes a great focal point
Cons: Customer service needed, attitude needs to be adjusted. Hotel bar needs updating/upgrading
Location: Steps to white sandy beach, easy walk to shops & restaurants. Be sure to snorkel at Coral Gardens, it's a protected reef, free to visit, lots of fish
Just spent 10 nights at OCW, overall had a great time. I was first allocated one of the non-refurbished rooms very disappointed, outdated, dingy & grubby bathroom, spent 2 nights here. I couldn't understand how this hotel had such great room reviews. Twice I asked politely if I could move, twice I was rudely told no, I was told I was not a priority due to who I booked with. Thankfully Expedia stepped in & I was moved to a refurbished/updated room, which was a delight & matched the reviews. OCW grounds are beautifully landscaped & immaculately kept, located steps from the beach on Grace Bay which is just amazing, the beach is breath taking, soft white sand, calm water, perfect for swimming & great for small children. The hotel pool is awesome, it's the center point of the grounds. The hotel is an easy 10min walk to shops & restaurants where food is good but expensive. My studio room although small, had everything I could possibly need. The washer/dryer was a great bonus! There is a Bar/Restaurant on site but the bar definitely needs improving/updating (shabby hut with grubby plastic shelf units) & the service was terrible. I stopped using the bar after 2 days due to bad service/attitude. The sister hotel has a much nicer bar. I would definitely recommend this hotel, but would have to mention not to go expecting friendly customer service, that way you won't be disappointed. I met only 2 staff that were pleasant/friendly, the rest seem inconvenienced by guests being there.

Love OCW!

Posted 17-Jul-2017
Pros: Hotel is clean. Staff is super friendly.
Cons: Mattresses. Mine was too firm.
Location: Best beach in the Caribbean!
This is my second time at OCW. The only issue I had was that the bed was too hard. Everything else was perfect!

Wonderful Hotel and Location

Posted 08-Jul-2017
Pros: The location was great. It was nice and quiet but not too far of a walk from the shopping and dining area in Provo.
Cons: More bikes to rent. Some didn't have air in the tires.
Location: Beautiful ocean water and beach! Grocery store, shopping and dining nearby.
This hotel was perfect! Turks and Caicos is pretty well known for being expensive. Our room was the perfect size for my husband and me. We had a nice, screened in porch as well as a kitchenette and our own washer and dryer. We were able to grill out by the pool a couple nights, which saved us some money. The restaurant is nice and the staff were wonderful! You can even have food and drinks brought to you at the beach. We did take the shuttle to the other Ocean Club location for lunch. That restaurant was also great! Although the hotel has bikes you can rent, we were unable to do so because so many people staying there took advantage of this feature. We ended up renting bikes for the day from a nearby store.
