Pool is excellent- good amount of sun beds.We are very fit and we could walk to local shop and bus stops, ideal local beach 1.5 miles away, however a car would be required if physically impaired.The property is ‘rustic’ not a recent build and I feel it is difficult for family to maintain, however we were not disappointed. All amenities within in good working order, dishes cups and glasses plentiful we did cook a number of times without any difficulty.It’s rural location results in lot of dog barking at night, ear plugs good option. The family dogs and cats are adorable.Would highly recommend a stay at Crete Retreat when visiting Chania as it is a busy harbour area and it’s a pleasure to escape the hustle and bustle with a 2 euro bus ride back to the countryside." We also used BBQ.I would also mention that the house is in a traditional mountain village with its own tavern with breathtaking views and the nearest beach is not far either.
