    About this property

2/3 Bedroom Secluded Villa 17th C and Private Pool

Our lovely villa is located in the region of Gordes, officially classified one of the most beautiful villages in France. We are also lucky to be in this region which is awash with natural beauty - mountains, lakes, fields of lavender, sunflower, poppies and all the stunning places on hilltops all around. It is also close to the iconics cities of Marseilles and Avignon as well as amazing National Parks, Arles and tons of beautiful landmarks and historic places. The region is also known for a wealth of culture in art, music, theatre, dance and a wide variety of wonderful fun markets from food to antiques. Its a never ending treat. Gordes and the surrounding area is also known for great restaurants serving modern ( a few Michelin stars) gastros in beautiful settings and of course great wines and countless vineyards and caves for glorious wine tasting. The villa is early 17th century, comprising of three bedrooms (all with modern en-suites), and 2 separate toilets, open plan kitchen dining living area. Huge fireplace. Lovely stone exterior, with a contemporary stylish and fresh interior. All modern amenities supplied throughout including TV, DVD, internet, washing machine, dish washing machine, toaster, radio, bath and pool towels and a large romantic garden. Provence is undoubtedly one of the most enchanting and culturally lively regions in the world and Gordes is at the heart of this extraordinarily charming landscape. Experience its stunning and varied natural beauty and creative events such as the famous Avignon Festival and an abundance of festivals in every village. There is plenty to do and see whatever you are into....sport, art, theatre, music, hiking, water sport, riding, cycling, skiing, mountaineering, paragliding, markets, antiques, food...the list is endless. Oh and of course the light of Provence and the wonderful warm weather for much of the year well into October/November. I have been renting this house for over 14 years and happy to say that 99% of my guests have had a wonderful stay and a great holiday. This gives me immense pleasure as I love the place myself so to share it with others and give them the often magical experience of its unique location is just very heartwarming for me. You will find the villa perfectly situated to visit the most beautiful places in the Luberon. Whether by car or cycling you will find the scenery always breathtaking and serene with fantastic French roads. Its heavenly and I look forward to welcoming you.

      Paradise

The photos and description did not disappoint! What a gorgeous get-away - secluded and peaceful, beautiful and well-laid out / well-equipped. We loved it and hope to return soon!

        Beautiful home

We really enjoyed our stay in Valerie’s home. She has beautiful taste in design and decor and the bed, sheets and towels were of pristine quality. It made for a wonderful getaway from home. Valerie gave us lots of recommendations and was available when we needed her. The pool was unfortunately not cleaned for our stay but we were told after that it’s because it was the off-season. It was too bad as it was really warm when we were there. But overall we had a lovely time. Gordes is a stunning town as is Valerie’s home.

          A lovely and secluded house

This was a charming house, nicely secluded, just outside of Gordes. We enjoyed being away from the traffic and noise around the town, yet being able to get on the road quickly. The three floors provided ample space for four of us, even with rather steep steps to climb. It was too cool to use the pool in late September, but it sure was tempting! The most challenging aspect was driving down the narrow lane to the house, which would be near impossible for large SUV-type vehicles. All in all, this is the perfect get-away for those wanting some peace and quiet while traveling around the south of France. We felt privileged with the elegance and space of this renovated farm house.

            Wonderful

A true oasis to return to everyday. Our first villa holiday as a family and we absolutely loved it. Thank you for being a wonderful host Valarie!

Wonderful stay in Belle Du Jour

We had a great stay in Belle du Jour. The house was beautiful and had all you could ask for a family of four. It was incredibly hot while we were there so we found ourselves spending most of our time in the pool, which was lovely. Valerie was also very helpful and the location in the heart of the Luberon is hard to beat. Highly recommended.
