Faded Victoriana

Posted 17-May-2019 on Hotels
Stayed one night in a disabled room on the ground floor. The room was dark with no windows that could be opened. The room smelt of air freshener that was probably masking other unpleasant odours. We arrived late and could not have dinner in the hotel as there were 2 coach parties that took priority. Ended up eating fish and chips in the street as everywhere else was closed. There are better hotels in Fishguard at about half the price I paid. The photo below is what the outside actually looks like rather than the one used on the hotel.com website

Friendly welcoming staff

The staff were great couldn't do enough for us. A great location to explore local coast line. I little out dated but very clean and tidy hotel. Great price including breakfast, would stay here again. We booked one night but like the area and stayed a second night.

I last stayed here 10 years ago. The hotel has had a refurb since then, and was fresher (was told some rooms were undergoing refurb) My room was fine (2nd floor at rear). Only issue was the noise of the central heating firing up about 6am, bit disconcerting at first. prob due to old pipework The staff replaced the ancient TV with a brand new flatscreen while I was there which was good

Nice stay but don't expect any hotel comforts

Nice staff. Cheap but quite extensive breakfast. Hotel has 1970s decor and needs updating. Shame as location is great for exploring pembrokeshire

Touring in West Wales

Posted 04-Sep-2018 on Hotels
Our booking had not been entered into the hotel system so even though we had all the necessary paperwork from Hotels.com they were not expecting us. They dealt with the missing booking very well and sorted us out with four rooms as required. The staff were professional and welcoming and our stay was pleasant. The room was perfectly adequate and our dinner and breakfast were first class. Would certainly stay at the hotel again.
