Lovely older hotel with modern amenities including wi-if and a flat screen TV. The owner/manager is a charming and helpful native Portofinian (?). The hotel has a beautiful outdoor garden and dining area, and is very centrally located a block or so from the marina. The walk down to the marina also is lovely. We parked in the village’s public parking garage…it is your best bet for parking and approximately 3 blocks from the hotel. The garage is large, the parking spaces are not…the smaller your car, the happier you’ll be parking.

Если честно был очень разочарован отелем. От Портофино ожидаешь чего-то особенного, но этот отель мало того, что не впечатлил. Более того, при заезде в номер, он не был не убран, на полу были крошки, мыло было открыто и использовано, полотенца были грязные, я спустился к хозяину и попросил поменять номер, сказав что он грязный, мне ответили что я не знаю что такое «грязный номер» и что поменять номер невозможно. Далее последующие дни номер убирали очень плохо, точнее совсем не убирали. По-моему заправляли кровать и всё. Вообще хозяин и его помощница абсолютно неприветливы. Если сам хозяин и здоровался нехотя то его помощница ни разу не ответила на моё приветствие. Персонал, мягко сказать просит желать лучшего. Завтрак никакой. При выезде я спросил во сколько мне нужно выехать, мне ответили до 10, но лучше раньше…… пока я завтракал и поднялся к себе в номер в 9:00, постельное бельё было уже убрано из комнаты. Всё вышесказанное говорит что я абсолютно не рекомендую этот отель, да ещё и за такие большие деньги. Единственный плюс отеля это локация в центре такого прекрасного и удивительного места, как Портофино!

The location of the hotel is beautiful, right in the centre. The owner however has serious mood swings and was either kinda friendly or simply rude. We needed to check out at 11am and at 11.05 he got angry we weren’t gone yet. There was a dirty tissue under the bed and no water in the room.

Won’t see us again.
For 230 euros, we got a dirty small room (closet like in size). There are some nice rooms and we wondered if those went to people who did not book through hotels.com???

Lots of character, lovely garden, very central
We loved this hotel and plan to go back. Our room had balcony, with sun beds/chairs, overlooking the garden. Owner was very helpful and found a phone charger we could borrow. Nearby parking was expensive but convenient. Good breakfast.

Perfect location!
Amazing hotel right in the centre of Portofino, 30 second walk away from everything. The rooms are small and basic, but they were clean and comfortable. The host is absolutely fantastic, gave us a map and a guide to Portofino and was generally very pleasant. Breakfast was varied - pastries, bread, yoghurts & cereal etc with various fruit juices and coffee out in the garden. Overall we'd highly recommend this place if you're looking for a bed in the centre of Portofino, it has everything you need!

Well situated and charming.
Hotel is very well situated close to the main square in Portofino. It has old fashioned charm. Lots of flowery wallpaper and old furniture. Garden was very pretty and lovely buffet for breakfast including delicious pastries.

Exactly what I needed!
I had a great time in Portofino! I stayed on my own for two nights here and location to me was the most important thing. I could therefore pay €500+ per night or stay at hotel Eden, a 3*, for far less. I'm very pleased I stayed here. The host is lovely. So welcoming and helpful. The location is incredible!! Breakfast was fine and the room was everything I needed. I didn't plan on spending any time in my room and I just needed somewhere safe with a bed to sleep in and a shower etc that was close to everything. This had everything I needed. I would definitely stay here again.

We thorough enjoyed our stay at Hotel Eden and would recommend to others. Very close to everything and our host gave us excellent suggestions for outings. A wonderful vacation.

Nice place close to shore.
This hotel has beauty and charm as it is older, but very well kept. Friendly staff, nice breakfast. Room was smaller and warm, but opened windows aired it out nicely. Very clean both room and bathroom.

This place is super charming. The rooms are very simple but very clean and fits the bill for staying in Portofino. The couple that run the place are helpful and friendly and have created a true garden of Eden with the outdoor patio.

Good location for a typical old Italian hotel.
Nice clean hotel the owner is there all the time to help and give advice on the area. The car park is a walk from the hotel so you have to carry your cases but that's the same for all the hotels in Portofino. Breakfast served in the garden which is nice and a good selection of cold items more than enough with plenty of coffee. This is an old Italian hotel not a large hotel chain which is run by the owner and cost less than other hotels in the area which look the same, you will pay more just to overlook the sea where this is a 1 minute walk and nice and quiet.

Less small is not large.
This is an anonymous hotel in a wonderful place. One word of warning: when I arrived, the hotelier informed me that the 80 euro room I had booked was very small and at the top of the building. He could offer me a larger one for 130 euros. When I said I was not interested at that price, he immediately dropped it to 100 euros. I accepted this, paid and was then shown into a room that was very far from large. At this point, you can either shout and scream, or get on with your holiday. I did the latter.

If you are lucky enough to get a room here you will feel like you are living in your home,just a nicer address. Fioruccio is a wonderful gentleman who will assist you with cabs, where to go, which restaurants...all the local knowledge to make your stay better than you had hoped.

The Hotel Eden is a very nice hotel; clean and comfortable with everything you need. Good breakfast, and the owner was very helpful, printing train timetables for me, lending me a book, and even gave me a little gift of a painting on departure.

Nice place close to the water
The owner was extremely friendly, polite and helpful. He offered to upgrade us and negotiated a fair price. The room was nice, clean and large for Europe. It was 2 blocks front the water and very centrally located in the small town. It was quite the deal compared to another hotel where we had friends staying.

Beautiful traditional small portofino hotel. Lovely owner who was about all the time for anything you required. Beautiful garden and breakfast area. Just up small cobbled street a minute from the harbour and parking really close by in public car park. Room quite compact with small but fully equipped shower room but everything you could require. We were next to reception desk in room 4 which wasn't very private but lovely little room. View onto the cobbled street.

Great find in Portofino
We stayed at Hotel Eden for 4 nights and would highly recommend it! We stayed in room #7 with the balcony. It was a great place to relax and have wine and cheese and salami for a snack or dinner in the location is excellent if you don't have to have a water view. Breakfast was great - the bed was comfortable and we appreciated nice bedding since it was a little cool some nights. A great place to stay while experiencing Portofino!!

Would try it again
Toilet wasn't working and when we asked about it we were told it wasn't working this morning either and to lift the top off the back and manually flush it. The shower was difficult to get just warm. The hotel is beautiful and the couple that runs it, maybe the owners, are so nice. It's location is perfect and there is a good European continental breakfast in the morning.

Perfect in every way, price, location, nice room, easy access to harbor piazza and bus to Santa Marghertita. Roberto was a great host, check in and out simple and breakfast fine. I recommend Eden hotel in beautiful Portofino, Italy!

Great localcation
We had already been on vacation for almost two weeks, we want to change where we were going so this was a last minute change. I had never used Hotel.com before so I had no idea what we were going to get. What a wonderful surprise. Portofino is a very expensive to stay, our travel agent could not find anything reasonable so we were on our own. Gillo our host was wonderful and helpful in every way. We thought we would be disappointed that we did not have a view of the water, however because of the locations, we felt as though we lived there. Everything about it was Amazing.

Lovely but pricey.
The only real complaint I had is that the bathroom was down the hall, not in the room. I was told it was exclusively for my use, and I 'm sure no one else used it, but there was nothing to stop someone from doing so had they wanted to. The hotel had a lovely garden where breakfast was served, and the hotel owner was most accommodating. Santa Margherita is a lovely 5 km walk or bus ride away, and offers much better dining value than what I found in Portofino. If I were to do it again I'd stay there and do Portofino as a day trip.

A very nice little hotel in the heart of Portofino
Very nice hotel in the heart of Portofino. Our only issue with this hotel is that the owner wasn't terribly friendly but sobeit. The location was great, the price was good for the area so all in all we were happy with our stay at The Eden and would recommend it to our friends and family if they were planning to visit this beautiful Italian town. Ciao.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Portofino. Our room was number 8 and it had the balcony overlooking the garden. Easy to get to and the owner was very pleasant. Would stay here again.

The hotel was good value considering its location in Portofino. The room was fairly comfortable. The owners were not very friendly. The location was fantastic, right in the middle of Portofino.

Small family run hotel in gorgeous Portofino. Walking distance to everything, pleasant and affordable. Immaculately maintained but rooms are small.
