Excellent place to stay. We spent 4 days during the Christmas there with 2 other families. Place gives you a feeling of comfort and home. We enjoyed evenings in lobby near fireplace and piano. Great restaurant and bar right there.

Cozy and friendly place

Posted 27-Dec-2016
Nice clean room and decent size, including the equipment room to store skis and snowboards. Also there is a game room. The staffs are really helpful and friendly. We feel really welcome and enjoyed our stay. We'd already thinking of coming back to appreciate the awesome mountain sceneries. The food at the Salon is excellent and the servers are really friendly. Excellent operation overall.

Overpriced - run down lodge

Posted 22-Sep-2016
Pros: Good location
Cons: Everything
Location: OK
Room & lodge looked like it needed a complete & total renovation. High price should have paid for luxury accommodation - it was far from luxury. No TV in front of King bed. Staff replaced dirty towels on the second day however the dirty towels were not removed. No light in walk in closet. Matress had very poor support. Three long staircases to get to the room. No elevator. Musty smell in the room.

Pros: Location. Great for winter activities
Cons: Rooms need some TLC. This lodge will be closed for renovations next month.

I believe that the hotel - hotels.com should have been upfront in regards to what services where open at the time we booked. Everything was shut - breakfast was basic and service very unenthusiastic especially for the rare of $195. Would have been more than appreciated to have received at least an off season price. Spa was not in operation either. We did not stay our 2nd night and therefore 1 might basically cost us $409. Not a place I would recommend.

Exceptional hotel secluded off the beaten path.

Posted 19-Sep-2015
Pros: Everything
Location: It was close to Yoho National Park and a short drive to Glacier national park
The room was spacious, very clean, bed comfortable and the wife loved the bathtub. Location was secluded with lovely views and areas to hike .

The lodge is beautiful and the rooms were very nice. It was in a remot location so when we arrived we expected the restaurant would be opened for dinner and drinks and it was not. We were told by the owner that it would be opened the next night and we expressed our intention to eat there. After a long day of hiking we arrived back at lodge to find the restaurant was closed with no explaination. We then had to take the long drive back to town to find a place to eat. If we had known the restaurant was not going to be opened, we would have found a place to eat before driving back up the mountain to the lodge. The owners were not interactive and were distant even though there were very few guests. Also, hot tub was not working and after hiking we expected to use it. Again, the owners did not seem to care. Overall, nice place but bad service.
