One night stay!

Staff was very pleasant. The room smelt musty and they changed our room from 1 king to 2 queen size beds and told us it was an upgrade. Not impressed. The bathroom needed some work and there was was build-up of dirt in the corners of the floor. The back of the bathroom door looked like it was burned by the electric heater behind the door.The ceiling in the bedroom area was pealing from water damage. The most alarming part was both beds had hair in them, long red hair and short black hair. The breakfast was a watered down waffle mix which had a funny powdery taste. The juice was good. Thank God we only stayed one night.

Great water slide, decent hotel

Pros: Water slide, close to Kicking Horse Resort, restaurants within walking distance.
Cons: The pool could use some attention. There was no closet in our room and only three very small drawers, which made it impossible to actually unpack.
Location: Kicking horse resort is about 15 min drive, restaurants are close by for dinners/lunch, not quite on the highway so no noise from the road.
We chose this hotel for the water slide and included breakfast. The kids had a ball on the water slide and in the pool each day after skiing. We had a jacuzzi suite, but the tub is in the room, with a small closet for the toilet and shower separated. It was a bit funny and made the whole room quite hot and steamy when we used it. The rooms have been renovated and everything was clean. The pool could use some paint, but it was completely functional. Breakfast was basic but just fine. Hot waffles, cold cereal, instant oatmeal, toast, yogurt, apples and bananas + juice and coffee. It's not a hotel I would want to hang out in the room in for long, but as a base for other activities, it was great. We walked over to the BBQ place and it was really good. McDonalds and a few other fast food places are also easy walking distance.

Good experience at the travellodge nothing fancy, but has everything you need. Room was very clean, location was good.

great pool area

Pros: pool area
Cons: a bit of an reno on some doors, toilets.
Location: close to ski hill , always lots to do in Golden.
clean, friendly staff, great pool,slide and hot tub, rooms a bit small

Hotel was alright. Good value for what we needed. Hot tub was like warm at best, this could be improved.

King suite.

The staff was very rude and inconsiderate, we complained about the noise made by a group of students running up and down the hallway in ski boots and the staff said there was nothing they could do for us. Also the tub in our room was full of hair and had to be cleaned by us upon arrival before it could be used. The "breakfast" was cereal, milk and dry toast And to top it all off the toilet paper was half ply.

2 Person Jacuzzi and King Size Bed

Pros: Location was good, bed and tub were great.
Cons: Better blinds or different lights outside.
Location: Close to food and a minute from downtown.
Efficient check in, they had everything ready to go the minute we walked through the door. We did a very thorough bed bug check, there were no bugs found. Our room was on the outside corner of the building over the lobby. The parking lot and side of the building have very harsh orange lights which showed right through the blinds. These lights were disruptive to our sleep and kept the room illuminated in orange all night.

Winter arrival. Heat was turned up and light was on. Everything was ready to sign upon arrival at reception desk. Quick, efficient and friendly.
