Clean and reasonable no frills motel

Posted 18-Aug-2017
We were there for a baseball tornement and it served the purpose of clean cheap accommodation. The AC and TV worked well and the bed oomfortable. It's no frills so no coffee maker in the room although they do offer instant coffee in the lobby. The carpet going up to the second floor should be replaced as it is quite stained. I was pleased because as other hotels jacked up their price for summer events this one stayed the same reasonable price. Thank you!!

Quiet motel, good price.

This is a quiet little motel with nice staff. Could definitely be cleaner, I found dog kibble next to the bed and dust bunnies the size of golf balls. The bathroom was clean though so a plus there. Bed linens were clean too. It served our needs travelling through Golden and we slept well so I would still recommend it 😊

Good enough for 1 night

Stayed here on our way from Calgary to Kelowna. It's an older hotel but very clean and well kept. Soundproofing was surprisingly good.

Okay for one night. Maybe.

Posted 16-Jul-2017
Pros: Relatively inexpensive. Good shower, Fridge, air con.
Cons: New carpets! Better mattresses!
Location: Nice walks along the kicking horse river & a nice restaurant over-looking the river with mountain views. Delightful book store and cafe.
We read about the hotel and didn't expect too much, but it was relatively inexpensive and it was only for overnight on the way elsewhere. However, the bed was really bad: super-soft and old i.e. my spouse and I had to fight to not roll into the middle. Also, we expected it to be down-at-the-heels, and were actually pleasantly surprised that the room was as clean as it was. However, the edges of the carpet neat the baseboards were dirty... The shower was decent, though; and it did have a fridge & microwave & air con. So, if you want a budget stay and you don't mind a bad mattress, and come old, stained carpets, this place will do.

Morel to be renovated

Posted 07-Jul-2017
We paid to much for a motel that need renovation. The rugs should be changed and the room not very clean.
