Not at all what I expected. Will avoid this particular hotel and not recommend it to anyone.

Decent lodge with good facilities

Posted 21-Jul-2016
Pros: Good location and good value
Cons: Very limited resteraunt menu, and no local alternatives
Stayed for a couple of nights in a family room. Fairly unremarkable but did the job. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Poor value for money

Posted 02-Jul-2016
Cons: Doesn't have to be luxurious but put some thought into some aesthetics and small things that would make your guests' stay more pleasant.
Location: Only booked this room because we couldn't find a reasonably priced room in Lake Louise with two beds.
Room was very basic. Cheap furniture and fittings. No aesthetics whatsoever. Bathroom exhaust fan and remote control didn't work. Flimsy curtains did nothing to block security light outside window from shining into room. Could hear the guests upstairs clomping about until after midnight. Looked clean but I found a used contact lens on the top of the dresser which made me question the thoroughness of the cleaning staff. Continental breakfast was mostly processed, sugary foods although there was some fruit.

We stayed in the suite where the bedroom is the loft. The room overall was a good size and comfortable. However, it is on the side of the highway making it feel more like a motel not a lodge. The walls are paper thin so if you have loud, inconsiderate, and noisy neighbors like we did it does not make for a pleasant or relaxing stay. Definitely not my first choice for a hotel stay in the mountains, especially for the price when Emerald Lake Lodge or other hotels/inns in the Lake Louise area are nearby.

I needed a quick inexpensive get-a-away trip. This trip was meant to cost me $95 a night instead I was charged $350 for a 2 night stay. The traffic was so loud I got no sleep. The front desk staff was not friendly neither was the serving staff. I would recommend this place for the great food but that is all.

Friendly hotel close to Lake Louise ski resort.

Posted 02-Jan-2016
Pros: Friendly staff and great food.
Cons: The size of the room was quite small and the bathroom was tiny.
Location: Ski at Lake Louise. Only 10/15 minutes away. Golden is a short drive away also.
The hotel room was quite small, and in the middle of nowhere. The bathroom was tiny. However, the staff were very nice and we had a couple of drinks and some very good food downstairs in the lounge area and played some pool. We used the sauna as well, which was quite enjoyable.

Nice older character hotel, well kept, comfortable

Stayed one night after Christmas, icefield drive from Jasper was stressful, so very relieved that the staff were friendly, food was good, atmosphere was peaceful and room was quiet and comfortable. Pathways and parking areas were well maintained.

A nice hotel close enough to the ski hill.

Posted 29-Dec-2015
Pros: The staff was friendly and its a cute place.
Cons: I don't know if it is something that could be improved or not, but the biggest thing I did not like was the smell of propane in the rooms.
Location: Lake Louise is close by where you can skate, cross-country ski, snowshoe, and the ski hill is close as well where you can enjoy skiing/snowboarding.
We enjoyed our stay and the room with the bunk beds had comfortable beds and enough room for our stay. The restaurant had good food and nice staff. The were able to accommodate my husband who has celiac disease. And even though they did not have a lot of choices there were still some choices which was nice. In the morning for breakfast instead of giving him toast and hash browns they loaded his plate with extra meat and eggs.
