Location and comfort

Posted 13-Jul-2016
Beautiful, clean room with a home-like feeling. Comfortable bed and had full kitchen plus in-room laundry! Sofa bed okay for kids but very uncomfortable for anyone over 85 pounds (springy). Steps from gondola and chair lift 😃 Will be back!

Tiny room, nowhere to sit and eat.

Posted 11-Jul-2016
Pros: It is close the Kicking Horse Resort.
Cons: The size of the room is definitely not worth the price. Reduce the price or notify customers that the room is tiny and there is no place to eat etc.
Location: Close by the Kicking Horse Resort, 2 restaurants within walking distance.
Hotel staff wasn't very friendly. I arrived 3:50pm and wanted to check in as we had a very long drive, the hotel staff was rude and stated that check in isn't until 4pm. They did not tell us where our room was and just gave us the key and told us we can use the garage to park our car. We got into the room and realized that the room was incredibly tiny. There was nowhere to sit and have a meal, no microwave, no toaster.

Kicking Horse Skiin

Posted 02-Mar-2016
Pros: It was very convenient.
Cons: The property was not worth the money. The lack of facilities overshadowed the benefits of the hotel. Clearly, the hotel has the benefit of location
Location: All we wanted to do was ski.
We arrived very late due to issues with the airplane. Upon arrival, we were told there was not a locker available for our skis. Also, parking was at a premium. We kept our gear in our car. They said that the hotel does not have facilities for the number of guest rooms. We ask for a delayed check out and were also denied an extension of one hour.

Skiers on a Quest for Powder

Posted 25-Feb-2016 on Hotels
This was our third time in this hotel in the last four years and though we only stayed one night of our ski week we all agreed it was the best accommodation we have had on any of our ski trips in North America. The proximity to the lift, the ski locker room, and the few restaurants and bars in the village make it great. There are also some good restaurants in Golden and it is much easier to go in town in the evening than drive to the hill in the morning. Of course the Kicking Horse terrain is the draw and it never disappoints!

Not for family's

Posted 13-Jan-2016 on Hotels
This hotel is not family or relaxing friendly. It is loud and the bus trips that fill it on the weekend have people up to late hours of the night. If you are looking to have a party weekend and rock out, its great. Nice hot tub, walking distance to a few pubs. But the acoustics echo sound all the way up the building and make it hard to sleep before midnight.

Nice hotel close to the ski lifts

When I get the room the hot tub not working, the telephone not working, no remote control for tv
