Beautiful setting

Posted 19-Oct-2015
The setting is stunning but be prepared for a fairly long drive up the mountain. The lodge is very pretty but the room was a really tight squeeze. The bed took up most of the room. There was a tiny tv that we couldn't figure out how to work so eventually gave up. The wifi was a great speed so we watched a movie on the computer instead. The bed was really uncomfortable, super hard so we didn't have a restful night.

Nice hotel for family

Posted 06-Oct-2015
The hotel is located on the mountain with beautiful view. Although it's a little isolated from town center, it has convenient facilities for families.

Mountain stay at Kicking Horse Resort

Posted 05-Oct-2015 on Hotels
Arrived late and out of season, but an envelope was on the desk with our key and instructions. Had a beautiful view out of a corner room. No services (restaurants, etc.) on the mountain at this time of year, but the room was very comfortable, and we enjoyed our two-night stay. Shoulder season price was excellent, and we would stay here again at this time of the year.

Master of Disguise

Posted 05-Oct-2015
This place has all the bells and whistles aesthetically. You're up on a mountain with a beautiful view, the decor is rustic but modern and the architecture is clean and subtle. You enter your room and are met by the same beautiful aesthetics, only to find a pile of dead flies by the door, a television that doesn't work, a wifi password that will not for the life of you connect, a side table lamp and alarm clock that won't work and in the entirety of the whole room, one (yes, one!) outlet that works. The bed was like sleeping on a lobster trap with a threadbare blanket thrown over top; you could feel every ridge and spring in it. And then to top it all, you realize that you're patio door lower lock mechanism doesn't work. When I expressed these issues, all the front desk said was 'I'll talk to my manager". Trust me when I say that you shouldn't even bother wasting your time here.
