Great Skiing

Posted 16-Mar-2017
Pros: The location!
Cons: Better access to the resort
Location: Kicking Horse Mountain is awesome. Worth the drive from Calgary. Not much to do besides ski. The food and drink at the hotel/resort was very good.
It's an oddly designed hotel at an excellent ski resort. It's clean, safe and a great location. I didn't have a room with a mountain view. I would ask for one next time. I had a "B" room which is used as additional space for a suite. It was small, but clean.

Great location, good rooms. The common areas are looking a little tired.

Nice to be on the mountain, but paper-thin walls.

Posted 06-Feb-2017
Pros: It was nice to be on the mountain and it was very clean.
Cons: There needs to be a solution to provide sound insulation in the connected rooms. Or stop renting out those B rooms for such a premium cost.
The hotel was great in that it was right on the mountain. But unfortunately, our room was no more than a closet! Well, it was actually the second bedroom to a larger suite... It was very small, barely room to get around the bed, and there was no insulation between our room and room it was connected to. We could hear their conversations, crystal clear well into the night and very, very early the next day. Our neighbours were not being loud or partying by any stretch, there was a few of them simply talking, which is totally their right...needless to say, it was a terrible sleep. I'd caution about staying in the double and queen rooms. Spend the money for the suites!

Beautiful mountain resort

Posted 08-Oct-2016
We were upgraded from a regular room to a suite because it was pre-season. The room was very comfortable, we had great views, and the staff were friendly. Because it was pre-season, the amenities that were normally available were not. Our suite had a fireplace, kitchen, etc that made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable.

Nice Hotel but lacking good dining options

Posted 27-Sep-2016
Pros: Nice rooms for cheap
Cons: More Dining Options
Location: GO SEE BOO!!!!!
The hotel needs more dining options… One mediocre bar that closes at 10 pm is not enough.

Mountain escape

Posted 26-Sep-2016
My family and I loved our stay very much. The loft is big enough to fit around 6 people and having a kitchen really helps you save some $$. All appliances work perfectly and everything was pretty good. The couch could use some cleaning but other than that it was awesome.
