Handy to the highway.

Nice place to stay. Needed a quick overnight place. The restaurant staff were stretched at night. Included breakfast was really good.

nice view, shame about the place

Overall I cannot recommend this hotel. There were problems with almost every aspect of our stay. We paid extra for a kitchenette due to medical needs, and checked in to find out none were available. Then the front desk said they had one in a pet friendly room, so we took that. The kitchenette was behind a locked door, which they didn't give us the key to. When they finally brought a key down, the little room was disappointing - dirty pots, plus no mugs, glasses or a kettle to make hot water. The paper cups provided did not hold up in the microwave, although they insisted they would. The room overall was in a similar state - burned out light bulbs, broken electrical plug (and there were only 2 to begin with) etc. The bathroom looked like it had been partially renovated - the bathtub & walls around the tub looked new, but the vent above it was completely rusted over and would not meet code in many cities. The pool was ok but the well-advertised hot tub was drained & looked like it hadn't been in service for some time. Pluses of this hotel - great view from the south-facing rooms (although ours was obscured by footprints on the window - I kid you not), and some hot breakfast items. Overall, I recommend you stay somewhere else - the Ramada in town is far better organized for about the same price.

Terribly noisy.

You can hear people talking in the parking lot, but worse, I could hear the people talking in bathroom next door, people walking by in front of your window sound like they are right in your room. If you are a light sleeper, or are blessed with a family with children on the floor you are on, you will hear the little ones walking back and forth in front of your room and every word they say. Hope they are not crying, you get to decide how you would parent yourself if you were in that situation as you can hear the parents parenting (or lack there of) If you sleep like a rock, stay here! Rooms are nice, staff is great and you get breakfast!

The weekend you stayed with us was a busy long weekend with a lot of families staying with us. We do our best to minimize noise issues during these days. We also have a quiet time policy in place to ensure that no guest is disturbed. We have established an "around the clock" access to a staff member on duty who will be more than willing to assist you with any issues that you are facing. That being said, we also greatly rely on guests to be respectful of the other guests staying at the hotel and we are very disappointed to learn about your experience. We assure you that we have shared your concern with our management for further investigation. We appreciate your patience and all the other positive remarks that you have made. Adequate hotel near Highway #1.

Pros: Proximity to highway; comfortable beds.
Cons: The breakfast was disappointing to say the least. Inedible sausages, prefab eggs - both not hot. Toaster barely warmed the bread. Few choices.
We needed an overnight en route to Vancouver; this hotel had 'good enough' ratings and was close to the highway.

Light doesn't work.

When open door and switch for light do not turn on. So move to other room. Same thing. Again move other room finally has light switch work.
