Have stayed here on a number of short breaks and it has good, clean comfortable rooms, friendly, accomodating staff and easy parking opposite, with short walk to Exeter city centre.

We hsd a self catering property (K-Suites; avoid) let us down on a veylry busy weekend. Luckily this hotel had rooms and only a 10 min taxi ride into town. All staff and in partocular, Dave, Katie and Esther we're so welcoming and friendly. We will be staying here again!

New year stay
The room was clean and comfortable, we had a two night stay and we had clean towels. The staff were all friendly and efficient. The reception staff were helpful and booked us a couple of taxis. Breakfast was tasty and catered for my gluten intolerance. We would recommend

Was a jury’s inn before and is on par with an upmarket premier inn Room was cold till we turned on heating Found a huge bit of rubbish in the hall outside If you have any issues with walking there are too many steps to get to the lifts

Cheery Christmas
Fantastic stay as usual. The staff are excellent at their jobs and both friendly and professional. My bedside lightbulb went one evening and within five minutes of reporting it, it had been replaced. Christmas lunch was also excellent. We enjoy staying here a couple of times a year, and definitely at Christmas. I would recommend a stay here.

It’s like stepping in to the 1970s, very dated, very slim on staff, I queued for 20 mins to be seated for breakfast then walked off as only one staff member who was constantly at the bar making hot drinks for guests queuing for breakfast drinks!! It’s 2023…. , told reception at check out, no interest. They only thing that isn’t 70’s is the prices, over priced and very mediocre at best. In the last month I’ve stayed at hotels in Cape Town, New York and London, yet this hotel was extremely disappointing…. Charging for a par park too?! I suppose they have to screw over the quests whilst there as they know they will never return. You’d be better of staying at the Travelodge 3mins away, with a Harvester, where I went for breakfast this morning and it was well staffed, and good quality.

Lovely staff, good price. Didn't use the leisure facilities I'm sure they are fine. It's a bit out on the sticks but Asda is nearby for any supplies.

Disappointed at £7 parking charge.
Hotel was pleasant, clean and comfortable during our 2 night stay. Shocked and disappointed that we had to pay £7 to park. Its not like we had a choice but to park there, it should not be an additional charge, it should be free onsite parking.

The food in particular was very disappointing. I am diabetic and to be given cheese and biscuits both nights on supposed gala meals was very poor. Coffee was cold, Friday night my dinner was cold. Saturday night dinner was at least warm but was very bland with little taste. I was not asked to register a credit card when I checked in and when I went to charge a drink to my room later on it caused great difficulties. My room was too hot and no lighter quilts were available.

OK for business travellers but wouldn't recommend
Good for business travellers if your company is paying but I wouldn't choose this hotel for any other reason. Situated underneath a flightpath to a local airport and next to a large and busy A road. The rooms are a long walk from the check in reception, up and down stairs and lifts. The rooms are ok but looking very tired now. The room was clean but with bits broken - tiles in bathroom, scuffs on walls, damaged furniture. I didn't try any food at the hotel because it was surprisingly expensive- multiple options close by. I was taken by surprise by the £7 per night parking charge; it certainly wasn't worth it and was just another money maker for a hotel that seems understaffed, underwhelmed and focussed on emptying your wallet in anyway it could. I love staying away from home and whilst the hotel wasn't terrible, it certainly needs some TLC and a price reduction.

Well done to all staff - great hotel
Stayed for one night for a girls break. Easy parking and check-in. Very friendly helpful staff. Room was nice and clean and had everything we needed. Used the bar for a drink which was not overpriced as some reviews said. Breakfast in the morning had a good choice. Used the swimming pool before we left and enjoyed that. Will definitely recommend and use this hotel again.

We were very disappointed with our experience at this hotel due to a planned boxing event. The whole of the ground floor was taken over by this event and changed the dynamics of our check in experience. We had to practically force our way through huge groups of young lads and their families which was quite intimidating. The lady behind the desk was overwhelmed and although she tried to give good service was a really bad first impression. There was no reference to this event when we booked (only a week before so they would have known about it) and had we known we would not have gone. Very disappointed.
