The Spa facilities make this place as the rooms are not as large or luxurious as the photos appear. The bar and dining area is excellent and the staff very helpful and pleasant. However, if you do not book directly you are not entitled to as much time in the Spa and member of staff was rather dismissive of us for booking via Expedia.

The staff were very welcoming. Unfortunately our room smelt damp. Wallpaper peeling off the walls. Dirty shower curtain. Dirty window frames . Difficult to get to sleep due to a lot of people constantly walking past our room due to its location. Poor quality wardrobe door.cobwebs under sliding door frame to bathroom. Hamper selection box heavily worn. Kettle had old water i side,very old kettle handle worn and filter dirty. This was advertised as a one night stay in a luxury spa hotel. Luxury it certaintly wasnt. The only saving grace was the spa facility was nice and the bar area was nice. Breakfast was also nice. As for the room it was a low standard. Wouldn't recommend this stay.

No key for the room - I had to find a staff member every time I needed access, so the idea of visiting the spa and being locked out for 15 minutes whilst searching the hotel was a no-no. The 'King Size Bed' was in fact two singles pushed together with a very hard ridge on both edges no-one could sleep on. There was no hot water both in the evening and morning, wherever the shower was set. I thought the unmarked shower was temperamental until the temperature varied from cold to lukewarm and back whilst I was rapidly showering, hence the evidence of lack of hot water at the peak time. The £200 rack rate does not include a full breakfast. One can choose from three items - I had one sausage, one piece of bacon and one egg. I was offered tea or coffee, and when I chose the latter I was directed to the end of the queue for the single coffee machine for the whole busy breakfast service. My colleagues who stayed at the Travelodge and Premier Inn were quite literally laughing at this stay which would have been poor and fundamentally failure to deliver a basic hotel service, if it were a local guesthouse - at a 4 star hotel, absolutely shocking.

The hotel was nice and big. It was warm and the rooms were cosy. The shower temperature kept fluctuating as you showered which was annoying. The spa was the highlight, the staff and service in there was good.The staff at breakfast were not very welcoming, they did not listen to what we wanted/needed. The manager was rude and boisterous. She was telling staff off in front of guests which is so unprofessional. There was no system in place it seemed messy and just all over the place. Staff could be friendlier. Overall good stay but staff and service let them down.

The hotel is probably 1 star rating our room was really small and looked nothing like the pics, the bathroom came with no toiletries, even when we called reception and asked for it to be sent nothing came. The water in the shower wasn’t hot either and walking down the hallway from our room there were dirty towels outside just laying in the hallway it was terrible. Definitely don’t recommend this hotel
