Lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds

Posted 15-Jan-2018
We were on a working weekend to help our daughter and son-in-law in their new home so only used the hotel to sleep, wash and for breakfast. The room was excellent and the bed so comfy. We enjoined excellent breakfasts which set us up for hardworking days and were served by happy staff. Only thing missing was a shower cap but I have been caught out by this before and luckily remembered to bring one with me.

Good hotel

Posted 12-Jan-2018
Pros: Plenty of parking. Large and lovely old house that had been converted Nice views at the back. Quiet even though there were a lot of guests.
Cons: Layout of bathroom not ideal
Location: Rather a long way to the town centre and station.
Excellent staff. Good quality hotel. Lovely view at the back. Close to the Chiltern Way where my daughter went running. Swimming pool and gym of high standard.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff

Lovely hotel with a nice traditional feel. The pool/spa facilities were busy on a rainy Saturday evening but the pub right next door was very convenient.

3 night break

Posted 31-Dec-2017
..... ruined by the fact football takes over this world!!!!! Had nowhere else to go to have a quiet romantic drink - staff just shrugged their shoulders :( Also seemed to take ages to eat served I. The bar/coffee area. At one point took over half an hour for a member of staff to show their face and not even an apology Was also shocked to hear that a service charge is automatically put on the bill unless you ask for it to be removed. Some story about tills not being updated since being taken over by Hilton! Apart from that (and the snow which no-one can do anything about) it was a good few days. The clocktower next door was fantastic for food and the owners very very nice!

Great Base for the Cotswolds

Posted 12-Oct-2017
Pros: spacious rooms, pool and leisure facilities, evening meals
Cons: pillows could be bouncier and some specials on the menu would mean not having to go into town for a change of menu
Location: lots
Meeting up with friends for a few days break, we were all pleased with our choice of hotel. Rooms very spacious, restaurant meals very good indeed, staff pleasant and leisure facilities good. Only a couple of miles outside the centre of town it is on the main Cirencester Road so within easy reach of lots of interesting places to visit.
