The perfect home away from home ... with added little luxuries. We had the perfect nights sleep in a comfortable king size bed after relaxing in a huge spa bath. Full sized kitchen was fully equiped with all we need to prepare our own meals. The pool and BBQ area were clean and well maintaine, a great place to unwind after spending the day exploring the beautiful local region. Honestly, we didn't want to leave!

Short getaway to Gloucester
Well situated in town just a short walk to shops and restaurants. Comfortable bed and good shower. Quality linen and towels. Lounge, dining and kitchen all good and a sunny deck out the front. The pool looked great for use in warmer weather.

a surprising little stop
We found ourselves in Gloucester when the fires prevented us from our intended beach destination. The space itself was BEAUTIFUL and probably one of the most comfortable beds we slept in during the trip. It's more like an apartment than a hotel so it was a little tricky to figure out how to access the keys. We needed to call a number and get walked through a lock box. Very easy, but not like your typical hotel check in. It's only steps to town so we were able to go get food and a drink real easy.

Great accommodation, excellent location.
Very spacious and clean with everything well thought of. We had a well appointed and full kitchen, spacious living area, large bathroom with separate shower and spa bath. We were supplied with fluffy terry towelling robes and slippers. A lovely surprise were the complimentary chocolates left on our bed. There was an excellent variety of DVD movies available for us to see. Unfortunately the DVD player didn't work on our first night, but it only took one phone call to Trudy and she promptly arrived with a new DVD player! The property also had an inground swimming pool and well kept BBQ entertainment area which we didn't use. There was also a communal laundry on site. My husband & I enjoyed our breakfast sitting on the patio overlooking views of the mountains and listening to all the birds around us. The Great Escape Lofts are an easy walk into the town and a short drive to numerous walks around Barrington NP. We would definitely stay here again.

Spacious Loft Apartments
We travelled to Gloucester via Hunter Valley then took the Scenic route off New England Highway to Moonan Flats then over Barrington Tops in Barrington National Park. Scenery , Lookouts and History was amazing! As we were attending a function in Historic Stroud we also got to travel on the Scenic Bucketts Way both to and from Gloucester. Breakfast at the Roadies Cafe was also a highlight. Great food, Cleanliness and service. We'll be back!

2 night stay. Warm. Large. Clean. Good bathroom. Large bed. A little hard. Only things. Tv very avg. couldn’t pick up HD channels. And next to a vet. Dogs barking second night. Apart from that good stay.

Very spacious and well appointed accommodation. Reception is via mobile, you are given instructions to get your key when you get through. I never got the Wi-fi working. There are five remote controls, all different and no instructions. No breakfast or food available. Poor choice in town on Monday and Tuesday. Oh, and the bathroom is a trek from the upstairs bed.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry that The Great Escape Lofts did not live up to your full expectations. Check in is usually via email, we send you an email with all your check in details prior to your arrival, if your accommodation is booked last minute, we endeavour to get your details to you asap. All remotes are placed near the unit it operates, ie Remote for TV near TV. Remote for Air Con close to air con. We do not say there is a restaurant onsite. There is a small mini bar that has breakfast items in it - cereal, juice and banana bread (in freezer) for a small cost. Thank you for staying at The Great Escape Lofts

Open loft in country town
The Great Escape Loft provide a home away from home. Large bathroom, open living space with a room with a view. In a quiet street in a lovely country town. While there is no reception, our hostess called in to make sure everything was ok and gave us great advice on where to eat in town.

Close to all amenities
This was our second stay this year and it is one of the best places we have ever stayed. A short walk to anything you need in town and Gloucester is a central base to explore the district. The apartment has everything you want plus a few things more. Can't fault them. A place to come back to for a short or long break from the humdrum of life.

The Loft was amazing and comfortable accommodation a fully self contained unit. Pool and grounds lovely, walking distance to cafes and shops in such a friendly town. Loved Gloucester, only downfall was veterinary hospital next door where a dog barked continuously until 3am.

The Great Escape Lofts are located close to town in a quiet location. Rooms are tidy and clean. Parking is difficult to access for low vehicles (had to park on the street).

Good value accomodation
Nicely presented, with beautiful polished timber floors, this loft-style room is open-plan, which creates a nice holiday feel. The spa bath is spacious, and there is also a good-sized outdoor pool, with a great wading section for toddlers.

An absolute gem in Gloucester
Stayed one night only however we would have stayed longer if we could. Definitely coming back. One of the very best places we have stayed on our travels. Fantastic accommodation with a large loft bedroom, king size bed. Huge bathroom with spa and shower, Great kitchen and lounge area.

Loft apartments - comfortable
We stayed for two nights in January so we could do some walks in the rainforest. Unit was clean and comfortable. Features we liked were the pool, two air cons, large spa and roomy areas. Only drawback was the bathroom downstairs and bedroom upper level but this was expected. Bed was extremely comfortable.
