She came over to introduce herself to us and was absolutely amazing, welcoming, and accommodating to our needs during the storm and offered us an extra night if we got stuck. The cabin was the perfect size with the best Mountain View’s and the hot tub was perfect in the cold weather. Everything was clean and neat and we had everything we needed. She even gave us backup water, sleds, and things we needed in case of an outage. We will be back in the future! Although it was winter and cold for our visit, we did get one sunny warmer day and we enjoyed sitting next to the river for a bit and listening to the river go by. The water is so clear! And the views up and down the river were very nice. We also loved the fireplace and hot tub for our winter stay :-) The cabin was very comfortable for me and my husband as well as my mom and dad. We had space to hang out, play some board games, cook dinners, and enjoy each other's company. There is no phone signal for verizon, but the wifi was good enough for us to connect to the internet for any online needs. Barney's Retreat is also close to Luray and we had a fun day exploring a few places around Luray as well! Do recommend."
