I would definitely stay here again for a night out in Glasgow city centre. The room was clean with very comfortable beds. Be prepared for loud music from the Corinthian nightclub next door but take some ear plugs and have a night cap to help you sleep! Breakfast was decent too.
As a whole we had a wonderful stay at the Grand Central. Our room was nice although a little stuffy and the window could only be cracked. Our bed was comfortable and the shower in the bathroom was excellent with it's large shower head and great water pressure. Our window looked out on the train station which was fun to watch but could get a little loud at times. We eventually got use to it and it just became part of the charm of the location. We were there for 4 nights and we had drinks and ate at Tempus, I think 3 times and in the Champagne Central for drinks and lunch and it was always delightful. The wait staff in the dining rooms and the bartenders were all so friendly, welcoming and helped make our dining and cocktail time very enjoyable.
Augustine and Kate in particular where lovely.
Room clean and tidy. Facilities generally very good.Food in restaurant good but not cheap. Health club good but disappointed Jacuzzi not working. Also disappointed that I booked a double for my wife and I and got a twin both nights. Also disappointed that as an IHG member my stay doesn't earn points because I booked it through Expedia. Overall thought service at hotel was very good and would stay again.
