"A Suprise in the City"
Fantastic little Hotel, although near a main road, the hotel was very quite. No road noises Free Wifi was very fast, and the added extras was a bonus. One downside with room one is the seperare private bathroom which I couldn't lock from the outside. Also the blind in the bathroom was a issue, as I didn't feel like I had full privacy. Even though the blind was fully down

Number 10 Hotel

10 Queens Drive, Glasgow - Map

Pleasant hotel situated just outside Glasgow city centre, about £6-7 in taxi. In a very pleasant location. Reception staff very pleasant. The main part of hotel has a small bar/lounge area which was quite pleasant, we had lunch there which was nice-the soups were delicious! The breakfast was excellent, good choice, and the full English/Scottish was very nice! Couldn't fault it. Bread etc was lovely and fresh and it was a Sunday, not sure if baked on premises, but were delicious. The room itself was fine. We were told we had been upgraded and were in the adjoining building. The room was very cold on arrival, would have been better if they had prepared the room by turning the radiator on, however by the time we had eaten lunch it was nice and warm. Very odd electric system, everything turned on/off from master switch, which we were not aware of until after we left. The room was large but with a tiny television.. Overall pleased with the stay, staff lovely, breakfast fantastic in lovely surroundings. Room and bathroom clean. Would recommend as good value for money and good location.

Pocket Guide: Design Hotels in Glasgow

Scotland’s largest city is the birthplace of world-renowned artist, designer and architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Little wonder then that hotels with an eye for design are in such plentiful supply in Glasgow. Mackintosh’s graceful Art Nouveau designs can be found across the city, from venues like Glasgow School of Art or absorbing attractions like House for an Art Lover.

    Cutting Edge Facilities

Several hotels set themselves apart with cutting edge facilities and futuristic décor. Others boast historic buildings and iconic locations. Many hotels blend these elements to dramatic effect, contrasting bold prints and chic minimalism with period features or retro stylings.

Use the Expedia search tool to browse a wide range of stylish accommodation in Glasgow.

    Glasgow: Scotland’s Style Capital

Pay a visit to the striking Riverside Museum on the banks of the River Clyde. Admire a floating velodrome and learn about Glasgow’s industrial heritage through the stories of the people who shaped it at this award-winning, landmark building.

Head back into the city centre for a bite to eat at the elegant Willow Tea Rooms, before you explore The Lighthouse, Mackintosh’s very first commission. The Lighthouse is home to the fascinating Macintosh Interpretation Centre, where you can learn more about Glasgow’s most famous son.
