"Good location, free parking, wifi slow"
Stayed 2 nights on business, second time I have used this hotel. Plenty of free on site parking, rooms a good size, the shower room was tiny and tv quite small.

"The most modern hotel I've stayed ever"
Very nice modern hotel located in the heart of the city, in walking distance to the main 2 train station of Glasgow. Everything was good, but I would only suggest to the hotel owner to put a small fridge inside the rooms.

"Clean hotel, can be noisy"
Clean, modern, centrally located hotel. Staff were friendly, although the check-in person I dealt with was not able to tell me where the local tourist information office was and could have tried harder to find out. Room was small but nice and clean. It overlooked the Central Station and, although it did not seem noisy during the day, the rumbling of the trains at night was a nuisance until I put my ear plugs in. Breakfast buffet was acceptable but not as amazing as that of Jury's Inn Islington (sadly no longer a Jury's Inn).

"Nice hotel great location!"
The staff were extremely helpful. It was nice to have the restaurant and bar right there in the hotel. The location was excellent right accross from the rail station and within walking distance of many of the things I wanted to see. :)

"Good hotel, great central location"
This hotel offered all that I needed: perfect location, comfortable room, helpful and friendly staff. I needed to transfer from an midday train to an early morning flight the next day at Glasgow Airport. Grand Central Hotel fit the bill perfectly for this.

"Great, inexpensive hotel"
We were only here for 1 night but the staff was amazing! They were very welcoming and we had fun chatting with "cuddles" :) The hotel is located about 10 blocks from the train station and is centrally located. Didnt eat at the restaurant but the drinks were nice and cold, beds comfortable and staff wonderful

"Good value but room very small"
Have stayed there before so that says something as a returning customer. This time the room was very small (smallest room I've ever slept in), but as it was only for one night, it was acceptable. The price was competitive so that was a plus factor. Whilst there are street parking options available, there is a charge Mon - Fri, 8am to 6pm. The maximum parking meter 'stay' time is 3 hours so that's not an ideal feature

Pocket Guide: Conference Centre Hotels in Glasgow

Scotland’s largest and most spirited of cities plays host to conferences, exhibitions and iconic events all year round. The The Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) leads the pack, but Glasgow has a broad spectrum of conference venues. With that in mind, if you are travelling here for a popular event or festival, it’s best to book your hotel well in advance .

The SECC has its own train station, so a wealth of comfortable city centre accommodation to suit all budgets is only a short train ride away in Glasgow city centre. But if you'd rather stay close to the action, the SECC complex also offers convenient on-site hotel options.

Whether you’re only in town for a conference, or you are planning to extend your stay to relax and explore, the Expedia search tool can help you browse the options and find the best hotel deals.

    Exploring Glasgow After Your Conference

The SECC, and by association its sister venue the Clyde Auditorium (affectionately known as ‘the Armadillo’), are iconic landmarks in their own right. Why not check out other emblematic attractions in your downtime? The eye-catching Riverside Museum and the Tall Ship at Riverside are both within walking distance of the conference centre and well worth discovering.

Alternatively, head into town for some post-conference entertainment, as you enjoy top class dining and take in a show at one of the city’s popular theatres like the King’s Theatre or the Citizens Theatre.
