"Nice overnight for concerts"
3rd time staying. Reception staff very helpful and friendly. spa treatment at short notice, available and staff respectful and professional. Room very comfortable, unfortunately, upgrading work in hotel noisy above us. This was fed back on checkout, our breakfast cost was kindly refunded. Breakfast available with a lot to choose from. However, despite mentioning that we required gluten free menu, this wasnt made available to us. After 2nd request for toast and sausages, we received. It appeared to be a lack of staff available for service or members of staff new to the job and under going training? On the positive, a male member of staff was working very hard and was polite, helpful and appeared to be working 2 areas, very good customer service observed and received.

"Great location and great amenities"
I really enjoyed my stay. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful, and the room was splendid. It's a perfect location if you're going to the concert hall or doing some shopping. And the restaurant/pub is really nice, too.

"Family Room"
The room was large even with two foldaway beds for the children. It was quite warm, even though the heating was off and the windows open - but cooled down sufficiently when it was 'sleep time'! Read reports that the Wi-Fi wasn't too good, but we had no problems (we were in the main building), but we did have issues with the TV reception - very frustrating at 7 in the morning when the kids wanted CBeebies!!

"A very nice 3*- with great staff"
I didn't have a long stay, just one night, I found it to be very very noisy, being able to hear crying babies and parties like they were in the same room, I couldn't get the room to cool and would have liked it if the showerhead detached, and a facecloth- however those are all the bad points, everything else you could need is there, I did like the double shower head system and the fact the toilet and bathroom are separate, the room was a very good size and hotel in a great location, also the staff are superb. So overall I would describe it as a very nice 3* hotel, I would possibly stay again depending on the price if I was going to something nearby

"Nice hostel with great location"
I had a great time staying at this hostel. The staff was great and the rooms were comfortable. The only cons were the beds themselves and internet. I had one bed that was clearly worn down. The internet was always slow. For one day I purchased premium. If stay 3 or more days I say buy the week package for 10 pounds. It was really nice. The staff was always super friendly and helpful.

Pocket Guide: Conference Centre Hotels in Glasgow

Scotland’s largest and most spirited of cities plays host to conferences, exhibitions and iconic events all year round. The The Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) leads the pack, but Glasgow has a broad spectrum of conference venues. With that in mind, if you are travelling here for a popular event or festival, it’s best to book your hotel well in advance .

The SECC has its own train station, so a wealth of comfortable city centre accommodation to suit all budgets is only a short train ride away in Glasgow city centre. But if you'd rather stay close to the action, the SECC complex also offers convenient on-site hotel options.

Whether you’re only in town for a conference, or you are planning to extend your stay to relax and explore, the Expedia search tool can help you browse the options and find the best hotel deals.

    Exploring Glasgow After Your Conference

The SECC, and by association its sister venue the Clyde Auditorium (affectionately known as ‘the Armadillo’), are iconic landmarks in their own right. Why not check out other emblematic attractions in your downtime? The eye-catching Riverside Museum and the Tall Ship at Riverside are both within walking distance of the conference centre and well worth discovering.

Alternatively, head into town for some post-conference entertainment, as you enjoy top class dining and take in a show at one of the city’s popular theatres like the King’s Theatre or the Citizens Theatre.
