First visit to this hotel. Room was nicely decorated. Clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly
and professional. Only problem was the hotel plumbing system which was really noisy and coming from level above our room. It would appear when water was turned on and running above in other rooms you could seriously hear it until late in the evening when people retired to their beds. Do not know if there is the same issue with all rooms but it was an issue for us sadly. It meant that we really did not have a decent sleep to be honest. Breakfast was good and if we could ensure the plumbing sound is not evident in other rooms we would definately go back for sure.
Stayed on a Saturday night when attending a concert at the City Halls, 2 minute walk away. Lots of restaurants/bars in vicinity. Hotel is 10 minute, fairly flat, walk from Queen St station, less to Strathclyde University. Sitting area is comfortable, bedroom has good storage and good sized bed. Noise from the street was intrusive and as it was a Saturday that carried on beyond 2.00am. I was surprised as the windows are double glazed and look a good fit.
Great location, especially if you get the bus from the Airport, Shuttle 500. I was kindly upgraded to a deluxe room which was very nice. Only drawback was that it faced out to the main street with the bus depot, so there was considerable noise late into the night,
I really enjoyed my stay. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful, and the room was splendid. It's a perfect location if you're going to the concert hall or doing some shopping. And the restaurant/pub is really nice, too.
Stayed here with my family of 4 for 2 nights and simply loved it. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Special mention to Karen of the front desk staff who helped us pick the loveliest Indian and Thai restaurants. Would definitely stay at Apex again visit Glasgow again.
Long an important industrial centre and port, modern Glasgow is one of Britain’s most vibrant cultural cities. The centre features outstanding Victorian architecture and houses over 20 galleries and museums, several boasting world-class collections, and many graced by the works of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Performing arts venues stage the best acts outside London, with shops (Merchant Square, Buchanan Street, Barras Market) and restaurants to match.
