It was the package that included the Stay + Flight. Everything went smoothly. No problems were encountered through this third party booking company. Hotel Olimpico was a great place to stay for our 14 day trip in Salerno. The hotel is about a 20-25 minute bus ride to the Salerno train station/ city center (shops and restaurants). The hotel does provide free shuttle transportation between April -October to the main center / train station. I was there at the end of March and had to take the bus for about a week until they launched their shuttle service. The Guilano bus charged us in March 1.40 euros per person. And the hotel does provide a timetable if you do need to take the bus in case you can’t make their shuttle. The room we booked was a standard room and it was such a beautiful place. The hotel itself was immaculately clean. Our room had room service everyday and it was great to come back to a nice clean room after a long day of adventures. Breakfast was included and they have a great variety. It was delicious and we enjoyed every bite ! The staff is very attentive and friendly. They are very helpful and they helped out with taxi services, and also helped us with train scheduling. So if you do need any advice they are there to help you ! Don’t hesitate to ask for help. The ladies in the reception area are AMAZING! They’re very knowledgeable. And they make this hotel what it is with their warm smiles and hospitality. I called the front desk around 9pm to ask they alert the family that occupied multiple rooms that their children were running in the hallways while screaming. The response given was that they’d tell them when they came down to dinner. She knew exactly who I was referring to. Needless to say, around11pm, the running and yelling started up again. It’s a beautiful property within walking distance of the ruins, but I expect more from hotel staff so we probably wouldn’t stay in this hotel again.
