The hotel itself is quite large with plenty of rooms but a bit outdated. Outside needs a splash of paint as its a very strange colour pink and inside a revamp. Our room was spacious but the tv was so tiny and old which was mounted on far right hand corner of the room that you can hardly see it lol Also stains were on the ceiling boards which looked like they were on the verge of falling off any time soon. What was MOST annoying was that we were woken up by a cleaner knocking on our door, then proceeded to open with a key at 8.30am to clean it whilst we were still in bed, when we only arrived the day before late afternoon so couldnt have been dirty overnight, and we were booking out at 11am anyway that same morning. So why on earth couldnt the cleaner just waited until after we left to clean our room??? Please design 'do not disturb' signs so that we can hang oitside our room doors in future, please. Also so sweeteners would have been handy to have in room as well as sugar. Shower was nice and also plently of pillows privided. Breakfast was on the small size but nice, although staff seating us to our table was abrupt and not very friendly.

The hotel was lovely, we had a wedding booked at 2 , and the hotel had our room ready 2 hours early so we could get ready In plenty of time. Cosy atmosphere all round and we plan to stay again In may.

Very friendly and polite staff. Quick and efficient check-in. Unfortunately it seems more money has been spent on fish tanks than maintaining the rooms, which are dated and run down. The room wasn’t terrible but certainly could do with some improvement, and closer attention paid when cleaning the bathroom. The towels were nice and fluffy though. Lots of potential but needs some work before I’d consider returning.

Car park felt a little unsafe at first but the welcome from staff was fantastic. We were given an upgraded room which had plenty of space.

Property is a good budget choice for 1 or 2 nights. I did find lighting in the reception and the rooms was on the darker side. This seems due to the choice of using spotlights mounted into the ceiling tiles. Overall cleanliness was good with only some dust in the stairwell. Check in and check out was quick and easy.

A friend of mine came to pick me up daily and the car remained in the hotel’s parking lot for may be 10-15 minutes at a time. My friend got multiple parking tickets for that!!!! Basic accommodation. Nothing to write home about!!

There are signs around the car park that state that you need to register your car if you are using our carpark. Parking Eye are an external company that will charge any vehicle parked for more than ten minutes without being registered at reception. Regards

family from the north visiting family in the south. Found this gem a few years ago, we never stay anywhere else, can not fault this hotel on any level well done to the staff keep it up and thank you once again.

Hotel advertised free breakfast. I went down for breakfast on Saturday at ,8.30. The staff said to await breakfast order to be taken. Half hour later I left because the staff ignored me. May be I looked odd. Old or something.

Difficult to fault this hotel. It suited my taste in decor and layout, and is quiet and comfortable. Pleasant small bar, lounge, and good dining facilities. Approachable, helpful staff, and an unforcedly friendly atmosphere, with none of the 'have a nice day' nonsense so prevalent in corporate hotels.

The room was dated but large with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was better than expected with a cooked option as part of the deal. Parking was free. Ok the down side, the walls were paper thin, the evening meal in the bar was poor, and it was hard to find the way into the hotel. But a night stay was only £51. An incredible bargain!

In room, polystyrene cieling tiles, needs severe updating, bathroom shabby, floor covering in bathroom stained and has paint spills. Food less than average chicken was over cooked and tough, £7.50 for an average pudding. Coffee expensive £2.80 for a nescafe sachet and water tastes disgusting. Feel sorry for the lovely staff...

Fantastic hotel
Absolutely fantastic hotel. The outside does not give the inside justice. The room was lovely and clean with an amazing comfortable king size bed. The breakfast was delicious as well as the evening meal with a great choice. Excellent value for money.
