The rooms are nice but need to benrefreshed. Bathroom smells unpleasant and as soon as the door is opened, this smell goes into whole room.

Bathrooms were great. The bed I slept in had an old mattress. The springs in that mattress created hurting spots on my back that didn’t disappear until a after my departure. Staff was friendly but either incompetent or unwilling. We had to DISCOVER on our own that during our stay was there was neither room cleaning nor towel exchange. Fresh towels had to be picked up at the front desk. Nobody told us about the reduced service. There were also other incidences that clearly showed a lack of either competence or sufficient care for the few guests. One reason for us staying at Steigenberger hotels when we are in Germany is their restaurants. The restaurant at this location certainly allowed us to see a glimpse of what it is -under normal circumstances- capable of. But when we ordered a medium burger it came well done. The beef was dry and reminded us of the German large meatball called “Frikadelle”. Worst of all: the meat was thawed first, because the patties weren’t fresh but frozen prior to preparation. I understand that the hotels have an issue with special pandemic rules. But there is no reason to offer hamburgers from frozen meat and not cleaning the rooms.

Dear Guest, thank you for your review. Due to the anonymous comment we aren’t able to contact you personally or even to check your stay with us. The high quality standards are reason for the mattress change last January. All our 180 rooms are fitted with new high quality mattresses, which are at the age of 1 and a half year. We are very sorry for the inconvenience that you didn’t slept well. The safety and health of our guest and staff members is very important for us. Due to the Covid 19 Pandemy we decided to clean the rooms during the stay only on demand – we would like to apologize that it isn’t been clearly communicated at the Check In process. There is all day long the possibility to pick up fresh towels at the Front desk or also via Room Service on demand. We only use fresh meat an products in the kitchen. We will take your issue to check the processes in the daily kitchen work. Dear anonymous guest we are sorry for the inconveniences you have had during your stay with us and hope to welcome you again at the Steigenberger Parkhotel Braunschweig.

Beautiful immaculate hotel in city park location
Beautiful hotel, very well kept. Large rooms and exceptional bath rooms. A true 4-star place. The only down side were the uncomfortable mattresses that did not provide a good night sleep.

The hotel is in a wonderful location, with beautiful lobby and rooms. I would stay there again. However, the room they first gave me was not made up. The person must have just moved out that day. I called reception and they gave me another room, but this was a first.

The Hotel is superb in a wonderful location in a magnificent park. Very handy for Braunschweig Alstadt bars and restaurants. Staff were friendly and efficient.Our room was spotless and very comfortable.Do visit the Okercabana great fun on the river.It was a bit pricey but would definitely stay there again.

Great hotel, great location
Stayed several days. An excellent facility with clean, well-maintained workout area and saunas. Comprehensive breakfast buffet and spectacular bathroom. Located on a large park, and pretty river.

Luxury property, good location, great service
Located in a nice green park setting, this hotel is one of the few luxury options in Braunschweig. The service is excellent, as is the condition and the cleanliness of the rooms. Taxi’s are available in the morning on a few minutes’ notice and will get you where you need to be in Braunschweig area in under 15 minutes. Room service was very fast and courteous, as was checking in and out. I will definitely stay here again on my next business trip.

Extremely, extremely satisfied :))
Everything at this hotel looks and feels good ...or better-than-good. It was only a 2-night stay and we wished it could be longer ....we already booked another stay here in a couple of months! It has a very calm, relaxed atmosphere - it is elegant yet not-at-all-fussy. The park location is so peaceful, away from the city streets (although many of the city streets are quite pleasant too). Dinner on the pretty Brasserie terrace was a real treat ...and at the bar we enjoyed local CRAB Pale Ale ...a very lovely beer :))

Disappointing this time - but normally excellent
lovely hotel that we stay in regularily. However this time the air con was bust yet despite talking to staff, they did nothing to try to fix it or reaccomodate us. It wont deter us from staying again as it really is the best hotel in the area.

Great upscale Hotel in the center of Braunschweig
This hotel is very clean and the staff is very polite and forthcoming. There is a restaurant and bar on the 1st floor with a nice cozy outdoor patio. The room is clean and there is enough space to move around, even with open luggage on the floor. The bed is comfortable and there is a sitting corner with overhead lighting. The bathroom is clean and modern, befitting a 4 star hotel. No bath tub, but an excellent shower with good flow and almost instant hot water.

Lovely hotel and setting.
Lovely location with tree lined park and river side walks. Only down side was disappointing breakfast for €20 but if you don't crave a full cooked breakfast it may be more to your taste.

Fantastic
Braunschweig is my hometown and for future visits I will definitely stay again at the Steigenberger. Located in a park less than 10 min walk from the City Centre it is a nice and quiet refuge after a day of shopping, socializing and sightseeing. The room was superb, especially the bath.

Beautiful Location
Nice hotel in a great setting. Nice Bathrooms. Nice sauna. Nice breakfast. Very comfortable.

Fantastic Quiet Retreat
Traveling to Braunschweig before tour from Franklin. Early arrival was not a problem to get registered. Front desk was very accommodating and helpful in finding Old Town and recommending site seeing sites. Food in restaurant was wonderful and a very nice atmosphere. The park surrounding hotel grounds was absolutely beautiful. So much to offer. We hardily recommend this wonderful hotel. Our room was very comfortable, above our expectations
