Lovely hotel, room was fairly small and no warning on booking that the bathroom was up a flight of quite steep stairs, bizarrely, the toilet wasn't in the bathroom, but on the same level as the bed, but had no hand basin, to wash your hands you then needed to go up the stairs to the bathroom.
Honesty bar was good, but not monitored to clear away dirty/used glasses and rubbish. (dirty glasses/crisp packets were left there all evening)
Cocktail bar was very busy, The large group of people hanging about the door were slightly off putting, as they kept peering around the entrance to check if anybody was leaving, which made me personally feel pressure to finish quickly and go. Good if aloof service when seated, but then no follow up service with staff avoiding eye contact. There was a ratio of 3 waiting staff to about 10-15 customers, which should've meant a much better service. We were given cucumber infused water, I have a intolerance to cucumber and cannot eat, I only realised on tasting. (staff should advise/ask).
Cocktails that were posted on the instagram/facebook page that week were no longer available, maybe add an 'available until' on the posts. cocktail menu didn't really consist of much, the waitress advised they could make what we wanted, but a lot of the fun of being able to look through the menu is to decide/be inspired to choose what you want.
It's a lovely hotel, and our stay was very relaxing, but with a few tweeks it could be improved.

Thank you for your candid feedback regarding your recent stay with us, which we appreciate you shared with the Expedia community.
We take great care of our room descriptions on each booking channel. We want to ensure our guests purchase the best room for their individual travel purposes and I will review these again upon your feedback.
Our cocktail bar is indeed a very popular and busy social place in our hotel. We operate a first come, first serve policy which means that guests are waiting outside the entrance to be seated on the next available table by our team.
We keep our social media channels up to date with interesting, timely feeds and sometimes only post what is available or happening on one particular day – it creates an interest to our followers and I hope you can appreciate our weekly posts too.
Our bar manager will certainly review your further attention points and we look forward welcoming you back in the near future!
