Beware: if you are driving you need to pre-register your car with Ghent city for clean air emissions. It is free to register but you will get fined 150 euros if you don't do it within 24 hours of arrival. We found it easy to do if you have the full information on your car (contained on your v5c, or I managed to do with the help of dvlc website, checking MOT info and a google search for the rest.
