highly recommend
The hotel is very conveniently located and very charming. The restaurant is also very good. The staff was very helpful with transportation and other needs. The view of the lake was beautiful. The fresh fruit in our room was a welcome surprise.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We had breakfast included and it was wonderful. We received a room upgrade and had a fantastic view. The view from the hotel bar and breakfast area was fantastic. There is a hotel shuttle from the train station which was great for our luggage. Our room was spacious and had a great sized bathroom.

make sure you pre-arrange parking. On busy days you may ne sent to the general parking structure which is nearby but was the full on the way of visit. Other than that - a great hotel.

I could not have been more pleased with this hotel! The hotel itself is very clean and well kept! The reception area is very nice and well presented. The restaurant for breakfast is really nice and has amazing views of the lake. The breakfast is nice too. Good choice of foods to eat but also not too much that you are overwhelmed with choice on what to eat. The even restaurant, well, what an experience! The service, the attentiveness and the dinner views! And most importantly, the food! Amazing experience all round! Now down to the bedroom, I had a deluxe double with balcony lake view, and the views are incredible!! To wake up and fall asleep to the views of Lake Como are a dream come true! Thank you to the amazing staff at the hotel for making the experience one of a kind! Will definitely be back!

I cannot speak highly enough about this property! From the welcoming staff to the incredible view, everything was perfect! The pool was a great touch, but we also enjoyed swimming in the lake, which was steps away. Breakfast was very tasty with many options. I was not aware prior to check in, but they do have a shuttle that transports you to the train station. Would recommend this hotel!

Best view of Lake Como
The hotel is on the lake. Great views. The staff was very helpful, and gave us good advices in the area. There is a laundromat nearby so we finished laundry while we ate.

Beautiful hotel.
I highly recommend a room with the lake view at this hotel! It as marvelous waking up to the view of the lake each morning. Although the room size was on the smaller side, it was functional and comfortable. Location couldn't be better. Good selection at breakfast buffet. Very helpful and friendly staff. Concierge made suggestions and reservations for all 4 nights we stayed here and all the restaurants were excellent.

They upgraded us from a junior suite to the Garden Suite next door at Villa Cipressi, which was incredible. Breakfast was great and has an amazing view of the lake. Would recommend this place to anyone and we will definitely consider staying here again. If arriving by train, ask if they can have the shuttle pick you up, as it is not a manageable walk with your luggage to the train station. Also, book a reservation at Il Cavatappi, it was our favorite restaurant in Varenna. If you need to do laundry in Varenna, drop it off at Pensa Barbara Lavanderia and let her take care of it while you're out for the day.

The property is in a very good location on the beach in Varenna. However, getting to the property is a nightmare from the train. We were no told how to find the hotel and best arrive (by taxi!). The communication MUST be better.

Perfect location to discover Como. The view from our room was spectacular! Just a few minute walk to the ferry and many delicious restaurant options. The pool was a welcome bonus. The rooms were immaculate and spacious. The beds were a dream The staff couldn’t be nicer. Providing a parking spot was great.

Highly recommend this location. The patio on the back is amazing and a great place to enjoy a glass of wine before dinner. Our hotel room itself was perfect and we had an amazing view of the lake. The hotel is in the heart of Varenna and all the staff was helpful and pleasant for anything you needed.

Outstanding staff (Giorgia?) were so helpful. They called a restaurant in Bellagio for us and sorted out some reservation issues on our behalf. The view from the room could not have been more beautiful. I am a hotel snob and this was one of my all time favs

We had an excellent couple of days at this hotel. The location is perfect, overlooking Lake Como and across to the Bellagio peninsula. Picturesque and idyllic, especially at sunset from the balcony. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. The breakfast spread was large with a selection of gluten free options available. The only thing absent was non-dairy milks but to be fair I did not ask if there were plant based alternatives available. My biggest regret about our stay was that we only had two nights.

Horrible customer service. I thought I had cancelled my booking and could not come to Varenna do a family emergency. The hotel still charged me $800 for a room I didn’t even stay in. Do not book this hotel as they will not refund you if something comes up. Extremely disappointed in customer service.

Dear Guest, As you wrote you didn't cancel the reservation. We were holding the room for you and waiting for your arrival. We could not think that you thought you had cancelled your booking. The cancellation policy is clearly explained at the moment of the reservation and it's an important detail to respect. We only applied the cancellation policy agreed with you when you reserved. It's not exactly correct for you to suggest eventual future guests not to reserve with us, only because you forgot to cancel your reservation or inform us you'd not come.
