"There were two Japanese well maintained gardens and stone paving hallway outside. They were beautiful and they made us feel very historical culture. The summer season in Kyoto is very uncomfortable to stay outside because of the hight temperature but, in this house, for some reason we could stay comfortably without air conditioner. "We had 3 fantastic stays at the Riverte Kyoto Kamogawa. Very service minded staff that took good care of us from arriving to checkout. Room was spacious, nice and comfortable - and the hotel has a small rooftop terrace. Area is quiet and nice, but with a selection of amazing small restaurants close by. We will stay here again when we visit Kyoto. "

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay the the Kyoto Brighton Hotel. First off, the staff are amazing - wonderful service, so helpful. The rooms are great - very roomy and the amenities are wonderful! The breakfast, both Japanese and western were great as well. We would definitely stay at the Kyoto Brighton again and highly recommend it. Exceptional hotel!!"

Onyado Nono Kyotoshichijo Natural Hot Springs

"My family and I stayed at Onyado in kyoto for one night. We had stayed in the osaka location prior and had a pleasant stay overall. This location was a much bigger and busier hotel and a little less clean (the tatami mats in the room were a bit more aged and little more dirty in some spots). otherwise the hallways and common spaces were clean. we appreciated being able to check into our room an hour early as it was ready and also enjoyed the breakfast buffet and onsen. the onsen was spacious and had several different bath options. The location was also central to kyoto station and the kyoto tower. Easy to catch a cab from to/from this location as well. Overall I would recommend this hotel for families or anyone looking to have a onsen and comfortable and central stay (to the station) while visiting kyoto."

"Updated older hotel, but very well kept hotel with good sized rooms. Buffet breakfast is excellent. There is a 7-11 across the street and restaurants and shops, including a supermarket (Fresco) all around the hotel. It is only a few blocks from two MRT lines. Staff were friendly and offered excellent service. "

"This is a good choice to have the convenience of a modern hotel in a vary traditional and historic Japanese setting. The hotel is a 15 minute walk from the two nearest metro stations, but you can take the walk through the Imperial Garden. The south stop offers direct service to Kinkauji Temple on the 204 and the north stop offers direct service to Gingakuji Temple on the 203. And the Imperial Palace is right across the street. Restaurant was very good. Wifi worked fine. Staff's language ability was limited."

"The host is very welcoming and enthusiastic to share places around. This is a traditional Japanese style living on tatami and Japanese futon along with a shared public bath. You will have the best rest sleeping on those futon in this quiet neighborhood. 7-11, Daiso, coin laundry and buses to major attractions are all within 5min of walk. "
