1 night stays made perfect

Posted 29-Aug-2015
Pros: Cleanliness of the room was amazing! I have seen 5 stars room looking less clean.
Cons: Breakfast buffet could use an improvement in the menu.
Booking was made easily and hotel was exactly as advertised. Worth it and no hidden costs!

Comfortable room convenient to everywhere in Geelong. The bath is the perfect length to lie back and read without slipping.

Short Stay in Geelong

Posted 01-Jun-2015
Pros: All modern amenities
Cons: Available off street parking, at $18 per night was poorly laid out, and provided no more a secure environment to street parking.
Location: Close to Geelong CBD
Pleasant overnight stay in a well known hotel in Geelong. Well priced package, which included continental breakfast, making this a pleasant experience.

Nice establishment overlooking the CBD.

Posted 22-May-2015
Pros: View, location, amenities & staff.
Cons: Air conditioning, parking cost.
Location: Handy to the Geelong CBD, railway station and Kardinia Park football oval.
Enjoyed the upgrade to a city view room. Well appointed room, but had issues with air conditioning that couldn't be adjusted (fixed for the whole floor), hence needed a fan and open window (despite the cold weather) to keep sufficient ventilation in the room. (Heard some other residents also complain about the ventilation). Otherwise, quite comfortable. Parking was secure, but for a fee. Parking on the street, outside the hotel lot, was time-limited until late.

Excellent value for money

Posted 19-May-2015 on Wotif
Pros: I absolutely loved the staff, room, facilities & it was definitely value for money
Cons: Nothing to improve
Location: Good location few minutes drive to Westfield, waterfront & Geelong Arena and only a stroll to Skilled Stadium
From the moment we arrived to checking out the staff were absolutely wonderful. Our room was very comfortable & spotless. Breakfast was delicious and all facilities were great. I definitely recommend The Mercure Hotel Geelong for couples and families.

Tired around the edges

Posted 14-May-2015 on Wotif
Great customer service and central location to the shopping centre, foreshore, nightclubs and entertainment. Mini bar poorly stocked, cheap bathroom supplies and rooms in bad need of a refurbishment. However great staff made up for physical lackings.

Comfortable and consistent

Posted 13-May-2015 on Hotels
Always a reliable option for a weekend visit to Geelong. Yes the rooms are a little tired as others have said, but always clean, and this time we had a lovely view. Staff are friendly, although got a bit annoyed with the upsell push for their advantage plus program again. (This does appear to only ever be the one woman at check in). Breakfast is good with a huge choice.
