" A decent hotel in the village "
Very friendly helpful staff. Convenient parking out back. The rooms are a little dated but clean. There was no shower per se which was the biggest disappointment. There was a hand nozzle in a spa sized tub. We had to squat in the tub in order to shower as the nozzle did not extend over our head while standing.

"Use the illusion"
I used to work in hotels and the front desk can be stressful and there are a lot of things going on, sometime things go wrong but there is no reason to let the guest in on it. If Expedia usually enters the booking in the system but faxed it instead, no need to tell your coworker and me about it for 5 minutes. If a payment method for a direct bill has to be entered, there is no reason to make me wait while you figure it out, I already paid. The hotel was nice enough and the location is good. Parking was a problem but there is a public lot not far away. From the trauma of my loooong check in, I thought it would be a disaster but overall, doable.

"A disappointing stay in a beautiful city"
In a very humid hot weekend the air conditioner rumbled causing a wind of humid air, doing nothing to alleviate the heat while sleeping on a roll away bed. The phantoms of summer camp creeping into my mind as each creak of the bed echoed in the room. The dust on the air conditioner confirming the lack of cleaning if the crumbs on the carpet did not. The drapes were missing off the curtain rod but were not used to replace the bath towels one with holes big enough for kittens to play hide and seek under. The staff were very friendly as each concern was raised as most are bilingual in this beautiful city, I just kept reminding myself "the room is only for sleeping in! and has nothing to do with the beautiful city."

"Comfortable stay in The Village, with NO CLEANING "
I chose the property because it offers a convenient location in The Village; it was also supposed to offer "free parking nearby". The room looks modern and recently renovated; it is nice and comfortable; it was clean when we arrived. However, NO CLEANING or making up (at all) to the room and its private bathroom was made during our 4 day stay, which is something I was not expecting. Also, PARKING IS ON THE STREET, so finding a spot can be difficult depending on the hour and day (most parking areas are restricted only to residents and this category does not apply to visitors). Even though I sent an e-mail to the property well in advance (months before my arrival) to understand the characteristics of parking, I only got a reply a few days before arriving (explaining that parking is on the street), after I insisted with a new e-mail. Summarizing, I think Atmosphere is a good option if you want to stay in The Village area of Montreal, but I think more clear information should be provided on-line regarding the following facts: (i) NO CLEANING or making up of the room will be made during the length of the stay, and (ii) PARKING IS ON THE STREET, so it is subject to availability and distance from the property will vary depending on the spot you get.

"Summer 2015 "
Staff is great. Free breakfast was good. Stayed in two different private rooms here. The first was newly updated and awesome; the second seemed much older, we had to kill a few crawly things upon entering, but did see anymore after that. Overall the stay is worth it.

"The best B & B we have been so far"
This is very little B&B (5 rooms) hotel located in The Village, only 2 blocks from Rue Sainte-Catherine East. There is two metro stations close by on St. Catherine both E/W direction, but we didn't use it much, everything is so close in Montreal that we preferred walk and enjoy the beauty of the city. There is a convienience store just around the corner with good selection of beer, but for wine we would use the one on St. Catherine (cheaper and bigger selection) both open late. We stayed in very clean room 3 which has beautiful patio (with strawberries and tomatoes!!!) tv room, separate toilet and bath tube in the room. There is also access to shower outside on the patio of which my husband was a big fan!!!! There is air conditioner in a room, but with the direct access to the balcony there is no need to use it. We kept door open even at night to enjoy fresh air! Breakfast is served from 8.30-10.00 AM accompanied with french music and if you like eat healthy and tasty you will not be disappointed. Perfect portions, everyday something different although there is no choice what you want to eat, evertyhing tastes heavenly! You can let the owner Alain Pigeon know if you are allergic or don't eat some food and it will be served without it. Alain runs world class establishment !!!! Very professional, attentive, classy and helpful! You feel like a guest in his house not a customer!!! The house is beautifully restored and full of plants and flowers which gives it a SOUL!!!
