"I was pleasantly surprised by the quality lighting in the room. That might be unimportant to some but I appreciate quality lighting. The a/c worked well, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The only drawback was the tv display which was rather unclear. "

"If you are looking for a private escape to the country, look no further! This cabin is charming and has beautiful craftsmanship. We appreciated how simple and cozy the cabin was and liked the tv placement for unwinding in the evenings. This was a great location for us as a starting point to explore and we found it easy to navigate. The properties very peaceful and quiet, right beside the river. There were some basics there for cooking (salt, pepper, oil) but make sure to bring yourself sugar and any spices you would want to cook with. You can tell a lot of love went into this cabin and the property. Thank you for sharing it with us! "

"Rockytop Lodge was a beautiful cozy little cabin. The loft was a touch smaller than imagined, but sufficient nonetheless. Supplies were stocked very well and communication was easy. Definitely will use again if back in the area!"

"The host was very accommodating and the retreat was as described. We had a wonderful time at the historic cottage.The property is amazing and very relaxing and peaceful. The walk down to the creek through the woods was a well maintained trail and was well worth the short walk. If you like peace and quite and relaxing with history and nature this is a must stay..We were a party of four and everyone was super pleased with our stay. Its a short drive to almost anywhere you woud like to visit in the surrounding area. Props to the host for keeping such a lovely well mainted retreat to share with others. "The location is beautiful and the house is nice. It's unfortunate that it has not been cleaned well. There were dark hairs on the sheets of both beds, a lot of the windows were dirty with smudges/smears and there were multiple areas that need dusting and vacuuming. There are some safety hazards as well like loose bricks on the bottom of the steps. With a really good deep clean and regular maintenance this could easily be a five star stay. Overall we enjoyed our time at the lake but as a former cleaner myself I was very disappointed about that."
