Stones throw from a station of Line 3. Seems like a relatively new hotel. Modern facilities and nice vibe. Staff where well spoken, kind and helpful. Room was clean to an extent, stains on one of the walls, nothing disgusting, just like a large charcoal smudge.
No they sell the toothbrush so bring your own, no toothpaste either. Shops across the road sell them for a fraction if you forgot.
Room was a bit small, but booking two single bed room for 20% less$, was upgraded upon check-in to a king bed as I was the only one travelling. Thank you for the nice surprise!

First of all, this is one sharp-looking hotel, very modern, sharp-edged, clean lines.
However, there are a couple of demerits that subtract from a "5" rating. One, the bathtub/shower. Instead of a full-sized shower door there is just a fixed glass partition that covers just half of the area, so OF COURSE the water sprays onto the floor. Automatically, I was forced to lay the extra towels on the floor to sop up the water when about to take a shower.
The second demerit is that the AC controls didn't work. The front desk staff explained that since it was 40/50 degrees F outside they turned off the AC for the entire building --???-- but would try to activate the controls in my room. Didn't work. I was forced to open the window for needed ventilation, but it still got too warm for me at night. The thick comforters they supply really trap body heat! Surprisingly, despite the open window, the room was quiet even though the hotel is situated on the main drag.
Minor details: there could be more/larger trash cans. The fancy desk lacks a drawer. The automatic hallway light is both convenient and annoying.
The cafe is nice, if pricey. Didn't get to try the other amenities.

We read reviews to make sure to request a room in the corner, with double bed, on the higher floors and it somewhat worked out. We booked through the Secret Hotel deal, which wasn't much of a deal. Turned out we were in for a Standard, not Deluxe, although the staff put us on the Deluxe floor, so presumably an upgrade.
Have stayed at 3 different rooms over 2 years and found all three of them to be excellent. One of the rooms had a cigarette smoke odor in the bathroom even though the hotel is non-smoking. I would blame the irresponsible guest than the hotel. The hotel is located in an alley just behind a large street, next to the more well known Renaissance Hotel. One can take the KAL airport limousine bus to Renaissance Hotel and walk about 3 minutes to the hotel. A terrific value.
3 minutes walk to metro station.
lots of places to eat within 3 minutes walk.
all rooms are one bedroom suite with kitchenette plus clothes washer and dryer (except the dryer doesn't dry the clothes due to vent wasn't connected)
On the south side of the Han River, Gangnam is on of the most affluent areas of Seoul and home to popular entertainment, dining and shopping districts, as well as an important concentration of businesses. Apgujeong Street is renowned for its clothing boutiques, cafés and upscale theme bars. The area also has large malls, the Seoul Arts Centre, a sports complex, and is close to the Olympic Village.
