Great long weekend retreat

Posted 17-May-2016
Pros: Really nice hotel, modern décor and excellent breakfast. We didn't used them but there were plenty of facilities available on site. Room was very nice
Cons: Room service booked at the point when the night staff took over was provided as a reason it took so long. Also chips were soggy not pleasant!
Location: Short drive into city centre
We had a great stay, really liked the hotel and staff and will be back. Hotel itself is a bit out of the city centre, about a 10/15 minute drive depending on traffic. Galway City is a fantastic city break with plenty going on. Eating out, bars, beaches, shopping and plenty of winding streets to get lost down for a great couples weekend away.

Classy hotel. Nice stay overall.

Really nice stay. The spa area was great. We used it twice. There is a charge but well worth it. The shower leaks all over the floor in bathroom and there is this green light on the control panel for the ac unit that is super bright. It lights the entire room up. We had to do our best to cover it up with paper. Other than that a very nice hotel and good restaurant. Breakfast was average.

Little bit of luxury.

Posted 25-Jan-2016 on Hotels
Stayed here for four days after we got married for some badly needed rest. From the moment we arrived, we were looked after so well by the staff. Really enjoyed the luxurious, peaceful surroundings and the brilliant breakfasts. About a 15 minute walk to Galway city. Would definitely recommend.

Overpriced

A disgrace to have to pay extra for Spa facilities that do not even include a swimming pool.

Superior hotel with great attentive staff

Posted 13-Jan-2016
Pros: Desk staff were excellent. Gave me an early check in, always were there for requests, took care of my car, and provided excellent directions each day
Cons: Hallways are dark.
Location: Galway City Centre is close by. NUIG is near. Plenty of shopping.
Could not be happier with this hotel. The staff are the most attentive I have experienced in any country. Rooms are very comfortable. The bed was the best I've experienced.

Enjoyable stay thanks to the excellent service from the very efficient and friendly staff. Food very good as was the spa. Some problems with the hotel heating and TV / internet but staff did their best to address these issues.

Had a brilliant. Lovely hotel. Decorated really nicely for Xmas and staff were very friendly. We walked into town so well located. And breakfast in the morning was excellent.

Handy night stay in unique non uniform hotel!

Unique hotel. Great change from the chains of bland hotels.Stayed the night of a party. Great room; very comfortable. Nice food. Great cocktails. Lovely staff. Eclectic furnishings. May not be everyone's taste but amazingly different! Is out of town but short taxi. Away from the city bustle.
