Interesting hotel in Galway suburb.

Posted 14-Dec-2015
Pros: Has some history if you look, well known family owned the house in the past, good parking is a bonus and it is a nice walk into the city.
Cons: Possibly, for those interested, the TV's in the rooms could be updated. Not quite John Logie Baird but not far off :-)
Location: Galway City Centre is great to walk around, the Museum is worth a look as is the Galway Atlanaquaria.
Hotel is in nice grounds with large car park a 15 minute walk from the city centre, so nice and quiet, check in efficient, rooms comfortable and good dining facilities with nice bar.

A little out-of-the-way but very pleasant, and the food was fantastic.

A better second night experience in Ireland!!

Posted 30-Sep-2015 on Hotels
Ireland is a funny place to get around with no postcodes. I arrived in Galway around 7.15pm and needed directions. The hotel staff were superb in helping me with directions. There were no queues checking in or out with adequate cover on reception. Breakfast was very nice and the décor was quite opulent. The upstairs was a little tired but the room was very comfortable. I left a charger in my room and when I rang up about it the staff went out of their way to make sure it was put to one side. The hotel has complementary parking and WIFI too. Happy Days! :) Galway is also a charming place and if you want to venture out a little further, I can recommend the food at McSwiggans and the music and ambiance in The Quays was superb.

Lovely setting and beautiful gardens.Room was clean.Bed not particularly comfortable .Bathroom dated and mould on ceiling. It would have been nice to have bathrobes.Breakfast was good but service slow even though we were at the quiet time of morning.

I had a pleasant and relaxing stay and took advantage of the pool each morning before heading out around Galway.
