My husband and I stayed at St. Jude's for two nights and despite the cold and windy weather we really enjoyed our time there. We received a warm welcome and were shown to our room, which was on the second floor, and was small but extremely nice. One of the many amenities the inn offered is heated towel bars in the bathroom, and a roomy shower. Breakfast was held in the dining room overlooking the front of the inn, and service was friendly and prompt. Our modified Irish Breakfasts were delicious.
The inn is located about a five minute walk to the village of Salthill, but about 15 minutes from the Spanish Arches in Galway. A bus into Galway stops right next to the inn. Due to the uncooperative weather, we mostly visited pubs in Salthill (see reviews for O'Connor's and The Office elsewhere) as well as the Galway City Museum and the Wine and Food Festival. Overall, we found our visit to St. Jude's to be extremely relaxing, and the staff and service were both gracious. On the last morning there, we had to leave early so they prepared breakfasts to take with us on the road. We highly recommend St. Jude's
