High Quality hotel close to town centre

Posted 25-Apr-2017
Pros: Cleanliness, friendliness of the staff and the quality of the restaurant.
Cons: Minibar could be added
Location: 5 minute walk from Eyre Square and the city centre. Easy road access into the hotel.
This is a high quality hotel close to the city centre , 5 min walk from Eyre Square. The restaurant breakfast and dinner were excellent, the room was spacious and clean and the staff were very courteous. The car park at the premises for EUR 5 per day for guests is also an added bonus. If you're travelling into Galway by train or coach both stations are very close.

Very centrally located - lovely spacious rooms !

Posted 17-Apr-2017
Stayed at the Radisson Easter Saturday with family. Have retuned here many times as it's a great location just off Eyre Square with spacious rooms and good breakfast. Some parts of the hotel look a bit dated so pleased to see that the Bar / Lobby area is getting a face lift !

Very good value hotel in excellent location.

Posted 20-Mar-2017
Pros: I liked the convenient location and easy access. Hotel was clean and staff were very friendly and efficient. Renovations didn't cause any discomfort
Cons: Tea/Coffee tray was poor/not very well stocked - only one sachet of hot chocolate. Goats cheese & beetroot starter very poor - needs big improvement.
Enjoyed our 1-night stay very much. Would definitely recommend to friends and we will definitely return. Excellent breakfast - great choice of everything and loads of it! Excellent city centre location. Convenient parking, easily accessed. Quiet room. Clean. Very comfortable large bed and lovely linen. Friendly helpful staff.

Mediocre hotel in good location

Posted 20-Mar-2017
Pros: Location.
Cons: Registration staff needs to work on developing a more welcoming attitude.
Location: Very close to city center, restaurants, shopping.
First, maybe the guy at Registration didn't like working on St. Patrick's Day, but his attitude at check-in was snarky and borderline rude. For instance, he admonished me for unloading bags at the front rather than going straight to park in the garage--really? Then, I asked for 2 rooms with single beds. He gave us both doubles. Then, the heat in our room didn't work. It was literally 50 degrees in there when we entered. Finally, the hotel is undergoing renovations so there was no space in the small bar the whole time (which was not disclosed until the night before I checked in). Wait staff was clearly overworked and I had to search out wait staff to get them to take a drink order. The hotel is in a lovely, convenient spot but it is dated (think 70s) and shows wear and tear.

Short family break

Posted 03-Mar-2017
Great location close to Eyr Square. Children dine free which is great for families . Food in the lobby bar is only OK, poor selection , however the girl serving in the lobby bar took excellent care of us and our 3 year old child . Very friendly and efficient .

Beautiful hotel with a river view

Posted 01-Mar-2017
Pros: Location.
Cons: Check in process .
Location: The bus station is next building. Across the road, there is a tourist information center with very helpful personnel. The train station is also close.
But my husband and I I'd not get the best view from the room - when we got to the room with all our luggage and opened the door with a magnetic key, we saw that the room was not vacant, there were other people's belongings... Fortunately for us, there was a housekeeping manager near by on the same floor. She was very kind to go down to the front desk and find another room for us, brought us new keys apologizing for inconvenience. Other than that, our stay was comfortable. We couldn't get any spa services - they need to be booked long before. Location is great. Everything is close by in this small town.
