The location is perfect, the breakfast was amazing, and the hotel was very nice. The only caveat was that there was no ventilation in the room or bathroom and it got very hot and stuffy.

OK

Posted 10-Jul-2016
Pros: Great buffet breakfast but on some days there can be A line for a table
Cons: Room decor is a little dated
Location: walking distance to Galway center
A little out of the center but within a 5-10 min walk.

Walking distance to downtown

Posted 06-Jul-2016
We reserved 2 rooms as we needed adjourning rooms for our kids. The closest we got was two rooms on the same floor and when I booked the rooms, i stated 2 adults, two children. The pool we had to wear surgical covers over our shoes and the pool didn't not look like it was advertised to be. No bellman or valet, there was a mixup on food charges for our room service. Our stay in Killarney is much better.

Within a nice walk to the center of town

Posted 22-Jun-2016
The RadissonBlu is a perfectly serviceable hotel on the edge of the center of Galway that seems to cater to larger groups or business professionals. Our business class room was comfortable and we appreciated the underground car park (5euro/day). Cannot comment on the attached spa as it was fully booked.

First room overlooked the lobby - no outside view

Posted 08-May-2016
Pros: It was close to a great walking street in Galway - some good pubs and stores and some unique street performers. Rooms were clean and well-equipped.
Cons: Upon check-in, front desk should have advised about the location of the room.
One of the front desk staff learned we were in room #161 overlooking the lobby (and next to a meeting room) and offered to move us to a different room for our second night, without our having to ask. The second room had a lovely view of the river and a window that opened to let in fresh air.

Dear Ginny We are pleased you enjoyed the location and the unique atmosphere of Galway city centre. We are sorry you were not happy with the location of the first bedroom and that the second room was to your satisfaction. Hopefully you have some lovely memories to take away from your time in Galway and we look forward to see you again some time soon.

OK, but nothing special.

Posted 04-May-2016
Cons: The condition, cleanliness and bedding could be improved.
We struggle to find any decent hotel in Europe and this one was not much better. As far as the other options in the area, I'd say it was decent, but certainly not great. The bathroom was old and not very clean and a light bulb was out. Overall the light was so low in the bathroom you couldn't see to do your makeup. The heat was radiator heat so it didn't heat the room up very well. For the price it wasn't worth it.
