Great hotel staff

Front desk ladies were amazing and accommodating. We’re more than happy to store our luggage as we toured the city before our flight. Called us cabs whenever we needed them and made sure we knew where we were going and fun things to around town.

Great Stay

Posted 05-Dec-2017
Pros: It was very relaxed.
Cons: We had a meal on the night we arrived which wasn't great. Breakfast was very good with great selection of both hot and cold items.
Location: Just taxi ride from Galway centre and Christmas markets.
We were impressed with rooms, which were spacious and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel

Posted 20-Nov-2017
Pros: Nice bar that closes late. Friendly staff
Cons: A parking spot should be kept free in the car park for guests checking in
Location: Tells you a lot about Ireland’s recent history
This hotel was nice. Room was very clean and comfortable. Parking is very limited. We parked in a car park near by. For the inconvenience, our room was upgraded.

Large scale, north American style hotel that offers a comfortable stay while you're in Galway. It is away from the city centre so you don't get the same small town, Galway feel when staying here, but the walk into the city is easy and not too long. You are close to lots of grocery stores and other shops if that is needed.

Good, could be better

Posted 05-Nov-2017 on Hotels
Hotel is fine but a little outside the beaten path, maybe a 1-2 km (1 mile) walk to Eyre Square and the usual tourist sights. Excellent full Irish breakfast (check your rez, may be an extra charge) and the hotel bar is ok. Beds are on the hard side of medium. Bathrooms are disappointing; no exhaust fan and the shower curtains are too small, so water water everywhere. No biggie of one person but you don't want to be the last one in your room to shower. No satellite TV, but who goes to Ireland to watch TV? Wifi is adequate but not great, and they constantly are trying to sell you on an upgrade. We had a fridge in our room without asking for it, but it goes off when you take your cardkey out of the activator that most EU hotels use nowadays.
