Overall this is a great place to stay if you're visiting Galway. It's right beside the pedestrianized part of the city, so everything is walking distance. The room was very nice and clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We tried the restaurant too on a very busy night. There were a bunch of Christmas parties on, so the place was packed. The food and service were still great though, so that's worth a visit too. The only thing to watch out for is getting into the car park. The entrance is down a side street and is a little tricky to find if you're not familiar with the city. I would recommend looking them up in advance. You can't stop infront of the hotel, so if you don't know where you're going, you'll end up doing laps of the city center like we did until you figure it out.

City centre hotel

Posted 15-Nov-2015
Pros: Staff and general feeling of comfort
Cons: Bathrooms
Location: Close to shops, historic part of Galway and good restaurants
Excellent reception and helpful parking lad. Comfortable room but bathroom needed a bit of updating, oldish hair drier, shower curtain etc. Great location for central Galway.

Perfect location, clean and friendly

Posted 12-Nov-2015
Pros: Pretty, clean and perfect location.
Location: Steps from the train, shopping, Latin Quarter and Bus... perfect!
Staff was more than helpful. Walked us over to the bus tour in the rain chatting and cheerful. Couldn't sleep with time change so we went to the bar and the bartender made us a special hot toddle which did the trick.. Beautiful hotel.. Minutes walk from the Latin Quarter. Perfect!

Very good hotel right off Eyre Square

Posted 03-Nov-2015
We loved this hotel and my wife is going back again in 2 weeks. Our daughter goes to college this semester in Galway. We can walk everywhere easily from the hotel. The staff was amazingly helpful. The rooms very clean and comfortable.

Nice hotel in great location

Posted 28-Oct-2015
Pros: Location right in the heart of Galway was great.
Location: Location was great, right near the main square in Galway and near lots of restaurants, pubs, and shopping.
Stayed just one night, but check-in was easy, room was comfortable, though a bit small, and the hotel was in a great location. Hotel has a bar and restaurant and the food was pretty good, and then have oysters, which is something we wanted in Galway.

Good but not Great

Posted 25-Oct-2015 on Hotels
Check In clerk (male) was not very forthcoming with any details or warmth. Would have liked some info re the breakfast included, and the 'put the room key in the slot if you want the lights to operate' procedures.Subsequent clerks were great and friendly. Tho not requested, was given a handicapped accessible room with an awkward bathroom, and a cord hanging in the middle of the bathroom for- I assume- an emergency. When my daughter pulled it, the alarm went off, but we had to call the front desk who had to call the Mgr to turn off alarm after several minutes--not sure about that system effectiveness.Had to request an iron and ironing board, and the next day the iron remained but the board was removed--odd.TV was outdated clunky version, and the hairdryer was also quite dated. Nice lobby if you care to sit on couches mid-day or after dinner (lots did) and a nice bar too.Included breakfast was good- same choices for all days, so would have liked a bit more variety.
