Old-world style with excellent service staff.

Posted 02-Jul-2016
Pros: Reception Desk staff. Comfort. Proximity to key areas of the city.
Cons: Parking in hotel lot is limited, but additional parking is available. Email instructions to parking could be improved (photo), including reference to
Location: Walk in nearby park Walk to the pedestrianized shopping area. Enjoy the sounds of the Irish bands in near-by bars. Walk to Hop-on/off bus
The Park House exudes old-world charm and style. The furnishings are comfortable, and all areas were very clean. It's located within short walking distance of the Eyre park, the major pedestrian walkway/shopping and bars that have Irish-singing/dancing. While it was a bit of a challenge to locate the free parking area, once that was achieved everything else was handled very well by professional staff. The Reception Desk personnel were helpful when checking in, checking out, and provided good travel hints. The breakfast choices were good, and the service staff quite responsive. The room was comfortable, as were various other seating areas in the balance of the hotel.

A Galway Great

Posted 24-Jun-2016
Pros: Great location.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Shopping, dining and site seeing are but a short walk from this elegant hotel.
We had great time in Galway and anyone planning on going should stay for at least two nights. It a fun and exciting place to eat and get the flavor of the wonderful people and city.

Near central shopping area and park. 10 minute walk to waterfront. 3 minute walk to restaurants. Book ahead for hotel parking as it is at a premium.

Mitten in Galway

Posted 29-May-2016
Sehr freundliches Hotel mitten in Galway. Das Hotel verfügt über ein eigenes Restaurant, sowie Bar. Die Mitarbeiter waren in jeder Hinsicht sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

We spent one night here, on our travels through Ireland. The hotel is in an excellent, central location and the lobby is gorgeous. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast and found our room to be quite comfortable.

Beautiful Hotel with Friendly Staff

Posted 23-May-2016
Pros: Location, Cleanliness, Staff.
Cons: Staff knowledge of local restaurants.
Location: Near to historic center.
The room and the public areas were both beautiful. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. The person we asked about finding a "nice" restaurant, instead of casual, really could not help us out, though. She recommended casual places that did not require reservations. The location is also really convenient to the best spots in Galway. Also, a minor point, I checked out having left something behind. When I went back, they said it wasn't there. I know for certain it was, so housekeeping probably thought it was worthless and tossed it. It's no big deal, but it kept me from giving it the absolute highest rating. All in all, I would definitely recommend it again.
