Nice hotel, great staff!

Posted 12-Oct-2016
The hotel was comfortable and clean. The staff was great! They went out of their way to help us print vouchers, book tours and find our way around Galway! Food at the hotel was very tasty... a continental choice for breakfast would have been nice. The only downside for us was the distance from center city. It was a confusing 20 minute walk particularly at the end of long day.

Modern hotel well communicated

Posted 08-Oct-2016
Sufficient plugs to charge all electronics. Refrigerator in very large room. Bathroom large and user friendly. Hotel is 15 min walk from downtown Galway. Breakfast is typical Irish breakfast. Dinner menu is limited, but sufficient. There are several low cost eateries with in a 10 min walk

Staff at this hotel are wonderful! We stayed at three hotels that are part of the larger Irish/English chains, and this was unquestionably the best. Although it is about a mile walk from the City Center, it is easy to catch a cab to and from the hotel.

Close to City Centre

Posted 19-Sep-2016
We enjoyed this hotel! It was fairly easy to get to, their restaurant was decently good food, and it was close to the action. A cab ride to city centre cost less than 10 euro but is close enough that you can walk. The city is unique with an interesting vibe and a mix of young and old. Of all the hotels we stayed at in Ireland, this was probably the best.

Adjacent to St.Ann's Cathedral area

Hotel staff okay 3 stars not 4. Adjacent to St. Ann Courtyard Mall. Mac Theatre and the Zen Chinese restaurant are in there. The food and service at the Zen made this the best Chinese dinner, that we'very ever had. 15 minute ride to the Titanic Museum and you have to take a Black Cab tour costs about $30.00 for 2 people very much worth it

Comfort and Style Close to Attractions

Posted 08-Sep-2016
Pros: The front desk personnel was extremely helpful and accommodating, both in assisting with getting my lost luggage and navigating to nearby attractions.
Cons: N/A
Location: This hotel is a short drive (or even walking distance) from the Galway Shopping Centre, a cinema, and the dock area (which features the Spanish Arch).
My wife and I spent two nights at the Maldron hotel. We very much enjoyed our stay and only regret not staying longer in Galway. Arriving on Thursday evening, we were greeted by a very cheerful woman at the front desk who took the time to provide detailed directions and a map to nearby attractions for food, live music, etc. We got up early the next morning and had a lovely and filling breakfast before heading to catch a ferry to one of the Aran Islands. The woman at the front desk that morning also helped us contact the airline about missing luggage which was supposed to arrive at the hotel later that day. Following an amazing day bike riding all over Inishmore, we returned to find the luggage in our room. We checked-out after breakfast the next morning, looking forward to seeing the next portion of Ireland on our list, but also longing for more of charming Galway. We will definitely be coming back soon and would certainly stay at the Maldron again.

Hotel an Hauptverkehrsstraße mit Wartungsstau

Posted 31-Aug-2016

This was a good hotel although a little bit tired in fixtures and rooms. We weren't as close to the heart of the action as we thought we might have been. Still would recommend it. Staff were very busy.
