We had a booking last week for 6 people arriving from Australia to stay 2 nights. When we arrived there was a sign on door to say closed due to flood but we hadn't been notified.

Galway break
Hotel and staff were very good. Noise at night not good but not hotels fault. Was very noisy on street. But very convenient location for shopping and restaurants. Very helpful receptionists.

Really nice stay. The location is great. Its very close to good bars and restaurants. Staff were really friendly. Breakfast was good.Really good value for money. Small downsides, 80's decor (dark wood and creme paint) and the parking, there isnt any and due to some long standing roadworks it took ages to get to the hotel then had to drive around the block to find the multi storey. All took about an hour.

Sadly we were booked in when there was a group of students from abroad staying, who were extremely loud throughout the night. It can get quite noisy sometimes on the road beside the bus station, but other than that, it was a pleasant stay and will definitely be coming back.

Exceeded my expectations!
This hotel is situated in an excellent place in the city core. Literally it is only one or two minutes walk from the train station(only one block away). The hotel was in great condition and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was excellent, exceeding my expectations after having read the reviews. If I I ever find myself back in Ireland/Galway I will definitely go back to this hotel again.

Excellent location for walking around city centre. Parking an issue, it is close by, but beware, you pay extra (€12 per 24h). Staff very friendly and very helpful. A very pleasant stay.

Very close to city . Well located
Overnight stay with my daughter which we really enjoyed . Great centre city location with parking in near by public car park at discounted rate . Really enjoyed breakfast esp the fresh fruits and yogurt .

Nice affordable hotel in great location
Stayed for two nights when visiting Galway. The staff was friendly, the room was nice enough but could use some updating. Also no safe in the room. The hostel down the street was much cheaper and nicer than this hotel- I'll be staying there next time. If you aren't into hostels, this would be the next best thing for the price.

Very pleasant an helpful staff room was comfortable an clean, tv had limited channels no sky channels, had tea making facilities, an everything you would need for ur stay, it was close to main shopping area all within walking distance, had a bus stop outside which us great if u want to go off to salt hill or outside the town, enjoyed are stay

We were on a one night stay over in the Forster Court ,we have stayed in the hotel three or four times before,the location is perfect ,hotel staff very friendly ,especially in the bar.We were very pleased with everything in the hotel, but im afraid breakfast was very disappointing,the food we got seemed to be inferior probably the worst breakfast i have had in any hotel,it definitely needs to be addressed by management.We would stay again,but would skip the breakfast.

Beautiful Galway Property
The hotel was perfectly located and wonderfully clean. The restaurant was fantastic. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The only issues we had was minor. For some reason when we returned to the room at night the heat was on and the room was unbelievably hot, even though we had turned it down a few times.

Nice hotel location
The Forster Hotel is nice. It's location is great with only a 5 minute walk to the main shopping/ pub area's. The rooms are a little small but that's normal in Europe. Staff were very friendly and helpful!

my stay was amazing , the hotel is well located compare to any other hotels in galway. it's not a big hotel but it's beautiful , comfortable, and only one minnute away from the galway bus station , train station and the eyre square and shops. so i will rate the hotel 4.5/5.

We stayed one night and unfortunately discovered our window would not close but came in too late to have maintenance fix it. Very loud with people under our window which faced the Main Street into the early morning hours and a lot of noise from probably the same people coming into there rooms. I would not stay there again. Parking was a block away in the public parking garage which was a bit inconvenient.

Perfect location if using public transportation.
Very comfortable and clean room, however old plumbing is a bit noisy. Front desk staff were fabulously helpful. Room included an excellent hot breakfast (full Irish if you wanted plus other choices). Truly is only a two minute walk to the train or bus stations.

Great value hotel in city centre. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Had a room which was near an extractor fan/vent which was on late in to the night. The breakfast was excellent quality with variety but had an evening meal in the bar which was poor quality. Will go back

Hotel is in the perfect location. Easy walk to everywhere in the thriving center of town. Train and bus are right there also. We were miffed to learn that the train to Dublin goes up substantially if not booked a day prior, but the staff were quick to assist us with the express bus (with no stops) straight into Dublin for only 10 Euros. Be advised, the street noise on the front of the hotel could become unbearable if one is not a sound sleeper.

This hotel was in the perfect location and was very comfortable. Everything was clean and spacious. Surprisingly the room I had was very quiet too! Breakfast was worth it as well. Good selection and great service. Based on location alone, I would recommend staying here if you're making a quick stop in Galway or even for a couple of nights.

The hotel felt quite luxurious especially considering what we paid for the two rooms. Great location, only wish parking was included, but at least there is a discount for the city parking lot very near by. Would definitely stay here again.

Getting off the bus in Galway was possibly the easiest thing I've ever done. As soon as we got off right outside we saw the sign for the Forster Court on the building opposite us. We went across the street and around the corner (a 1.5 minute walk) and we were there! It's very convenient location, as it's also just a 8 minute walk away from the main pedestrian street! The room was very nice and spacious enough, with a view of the street. If you get the breakfast, that's also well worth it! I expected just a cold buffet, but you also have the option to order a full traditional Irish hot breakfast.

Perfect location for a trip to Galway, rooms were in great condition, very nicely decorated, and very comfortable, reception was in a mess due to renovations, and the kitchen was closed aswell, this was not disclosed at the time of booking, not sure if that's the hotels bad, or hotels.com's fault. So only a cold breakfast and no bar food. Discount on my rate because I opted to have a hot breakfast elsewhere, so no complaints there, renovations have to be done and they are doing them with minimal interruption, I would stay here again no problem, hotel staff were all very friendly and accommodating.

Friendly service. Comfortable stay. Great breakfast. Will certainly stay there again! Rooms facing the street side got the bar noise - that is the trade-off for a central location. That said, the noises weren't too bad, and the beddings were so comfortable that one had no trouble falling asleep. Some rooms also had a small balcony, which was great for those bursts of sunshine in Galway.

Perfect quiet location that's close to the centre. The rooms are a good size and the beds are lovely and comfy . The all day breakfast is a big plus that assures a relaxing stay and allows for a nice long sleep ; )
