Good first stop after Shannon and Cliffs

Posted 24-Aug-2017
This was a good first night's stop after landing at Shannon and visiting the Cliffs of Moher. The pub and restaurant in the hotel were very nice and clean, and good places to have a pint and a very nice dinner. Because we were a family of 4 they gave us an apartment across the street. That was clean and convenient. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

amenities

Posted 17-Aug-2017
The hotel was clean. However, for the price the amenities are non existent. No wash cloths, no coffee maker, no help with luggage, no tissues. It was very conveniently located to the city center but for the cost and services I might as well have stayed in a hostel like I did in college twenty years ago.

Not a good experience

Posted 01-Aug-2017
Pros: The hotel was very close to the city centre.
Cons: The maintenance needs to be done before guests complain. The issues with our room would have been known to the hotel before our stay.
Location: Close to the main activities in the town.
The rooms facing the street are very noisy from traffic and people in the street. In our room, the bed head was not connected and banged against the wall whenever we rolled over n bed at night. The bathroom door had a high pitched squeak which wakes you up in the night and the shower stall overflowed with water. When pointed out to reception it was somehow converted to being our fault? No apology, just said we should have asked for another room!

Great place to stay in Galway

Posted 25-Jul-2017
Nice hotel, great location. Room was clean. Staff was friendly. Bed was not the most comfortable because mattress and pilllows were way too firm but otherwise it was great. Would recommend.

Convenient central Galway hotel

Posted 25-Jul-2017
Hôtel has a great location and a parking garage. Rooms are spacious but bathroom was strange, with no towel racks or hooks, no place to hang toilet paper (it just sat by the sink or on the toilet tank), and Miniature sink, the smallest sink we saw in all of Ireland. On the upside, the location is great, the Hôtel has a nice little pub, and the breakfast buffet was great

Quaint but old

Posted 23-Jul-2017
Location: close to shopping, pubs, everything in Galway within walking distance
Location in middle of town is great for convenience but also noisy at night when sleeping. This is an old hotel in every sense--the rooms look like they haven't been updated since the 1910's which is great for ambience but not for comfort. Mattress was thin and lumpy, pillows were from the 1950's I think. TV set was at least 20 years old. If you like quaint/antique, it's for you, but prepare to give up comfort and conveniences of modern hotel life

Nice hotel just outside of Galway's city center

Posted 08-Jul-2017
Wonderful hotel to stay in- clean and comfortable. The hotel staff is very friendly and the hotel's bar is nice, but small, with live music a few nights a week. The hotel was even nice enough to give me a free upgrade to a 2 bedroom suite with a full kitchen for the two nights I was there. The only thing I did not like is the hotel's car park. It's hard to find and there are not a lot of spots, not to mention it can be hard to get out of the lot. Besides that, though, a great place to stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Galway.
