Nice hotel close to everything

The staff is very friendly. The hotel is nice & clean. The mattresses in the rooms need to be updated. We had a great time & will be back. Hopefully to better mattresses :-)

The location of Jury's Inn is fantastic.

Pros: I loved the location. The room was comfortable and we had a birds eye view of all kinds of activity on the street. That part was really fun. Thanks
Cons: Can't think of a thing!
Location: Well, see comments about these things above. It's a great location
We had ready access to the city center and enjoyed walking through that district as well as along the bay several times during our 3-day stay.

Ideal location for the centre of Galway

Posted 11-Jul-2017
Pros: The location
Location: We enjoyed getting out of Galway during the day and visiting the Connemara area and the coast.
The hotel is next to Quay Street which is the vibrant area of Galway. Lots of restaurants, pubs and shops within walking distance. The multi-storey car-park next door to the hotel is convenient, if a little tight for a large car! We spent 3 nights at the Jury's Inn and enjoyed our stay. The staff were very helpful and welcoming and the breakfast was excellent. Our disappointment was rather a noisy room on the 2nd floor which overlooked the garden at the back, but was also near the walkway along the canal. A number of rowdy locals or guests were drinking all afternoon in the garden until 10 pm and at night locals gathered along the walkway - chatting and making quite a noise. Not ideal if you want a quiet room.

Great location

Basic rooms and great location. Rooms are small but basic European rooms. Nice lobby and bar area. You can't beat the location. If you have a car be mindful of parking garage it is ridiculous and the spots for parking will inevitably cause damage to your vehicle.

OK for the centre of town

Posted 03-Jul-2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Soundproofing!
Location: Right by historic centre - plenty of bars & restaurants
If you want to stay in the centre of town then Jurys is well positioned, with a (paid for) car park next door - its a typical mid-range chain with reasonable facilities and friendly staff. Given that the local entertainment is drinking - high chance you will be disturbed in the night by late returners!

Absolutely excellent.

Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Location: Ideal. Shortish walk to Galway bay and all the shops round the corner.
Brilliant hotel, car park literally next door with preferential rate (ten euros per day). Breakfast via buffet and massive choice. Friendly staff and an ideal location to explore shops/bay and what not. HEAVILY recommend it.
