The hotel had a nice lobby and the rooms were OK. The bathroom was not very clean and we had trouble finding it, because the signage wasn't easy to see. However, it was raining at the time, so that probably had something to do with it. The people at the front desk were very helpful.

Good location near center city

Posted 30-Aug-2017
The staff is super friendly and helpful. Parking is included but lot is a bit small. Walking distance to center city, about 2-3 short blocks. Breakfast was pleasant and the new restaurant is very nice and clean.

Beautiful, comfortable hotel

Posted 23-Aug-2017
Pros: Size, cleanliness and staff attentiveness
Cons: A drinks service at the pool and an iron and ironing board provided in the rooms
Location: Quite a distance from the centre of town where most tourists spend their time however very close to a subway. Pret A Manger close by
The hotel itself is very modern and bright, with a large (but expensive) cafe, a couple of restaurants (we didn't eat at them) and a roof top lounge with amazing views of the beautiful Hong Kong skyline lit up at night. We enjoyed watching the laser light show with a couple of drinks from the lounge and also the upper viewing platform. There is also a small fitness centre with an outdoor pool that leads off from the fitness centre. There's a lack of seating around the pool (although we were there on 2 extremely hot days so perhaps busier than normal) and there is no bar or drinks service at the pool. Our room was beautiful. It was large with a very comfortable King bed, good quality linen and amazing pillows. It was very well appointed and had everything you needed - except an iron and ironing board which you had to request. The bathroom had a single bath and a separate amazing shower. The gorgeous bathroom had many good quality toiletries, was large, spotlessly clean and plenty of storage. The only negative was the location, it was a quite a distance away from the "centre" of town" where most of the touristy spots are. In saying this the train station is literally a 3 minute walk away so extremely handy and from here you are able to go anywhere. There is a Pret A Manger on the next corner.

Will be wonderful when finished:

Posted 21-Jul-2017
Pros: Location was excellent.
Location: Downtown was just a hop skip and a jump away!
Hotel was under major renovation. We walked in and there was no front desk, just a folding table with no one there. There was no notification from the hotel regarding the renovations. Lobby was an obstacle course and there was a make shift bar breakfast lounge in a conference room. Would have been nice if we were notified or if there was $ off the stay. Bathroom was stained and gross!

Nice Hotel with an Easy Walk to City Center

Posted 08-May-2017
Pros: Proximity to city center, cleanliness of hotel, good breakfasts
Cons: The breakfast music was club music and not appropriate for a quiet breakfast.
Location: very good restaurants. The Hop On/off tour. Cliffs of Moher tour, Kylemoor Abbey gardens
We enjoyed our stay at the Harbour Hotel in Cork. The room was comfortable and well-maintained. The breakfasts were very nice. The hotel was being renovated while we were there but we were never inconvenienced. We were able to walk to restaurants and activities in the town center which is important to us because we do not rent a car when traveling abroad. The staff was knowledgeable about tours we wanted to take and the bus company picks up customers outside the hotel. We also walked to the bus station to get one of our tours because the station is a short walk from the Harbour Hotel.

Nice Hotel

Posted 06-May-2017
Room was good and spacious - I expected with paying more to have a higher room and better view but it was a nice room. Don't get the breakfast - wait staff can't keep up - no glasses, plates or bowls, not good selection of food for the price

Great Stay

Posted 02-May-2017 on Hotels
I could not recommend the harbour hotel enough! We were slightly hesitant on reading the reviews of the hotel, but they did not do the hotel justice. The service was amazing, from start to end. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was incredible, with a great selection of different breakfasts. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a modern, relaxing atmosphere that reflects the beauty of the harbour just outside of the hotel. The hotel is in a great location, just two minutes away from Shop street, yet it is far enough from the city centre that at night, no loud noises from bars/pubs can be heard. The one thing that did slightly annoy me was the bathroom of our hotel room. It was not cleaned properly whatsoever. I had to clean it myself! Overall, I did enjoy my stay in the Harbour hotel and I will definitely come back.

Great location and comfortable room. They were renovating the lobby area which was somewhat disruptive but we were informed of this when we checked in.

Nice location, close to restaurants

Posted 29-Apr-2017
Pros: Location was great, walkable to shops and restaurants. Very nice hotel.
Location: Food at the Front door was good
After a long flight and drive, we had a pleasant welcome with an early check in and friendly staff. Hotel was undergoing renovations but wasn't disruptive at all. Comfy rooms, good breakfast and friendly people. Parking was tight but that is what we have experienced everywhere in Ireland.
