Wouldn't stay here again

Posted 10-Jul-2017
Chose these apartments because they had washing machine facilities in the room. The washing machine didn't work, nor did the air conditioning. The hotel washed the clothes and gave us a discount on the stay however we had to negotiate that with the hotel it wasn't an automatic solution. I would look elsewhere next time to stay in Galway.

Very nice apartment, close to everything

Posted 26-May-2017
Pros: Clean, close to everything, great view
Cons: Tea towels to dry dishes, dust pan to sweep up, shampoo the carpets in the bedrooms, air it out / frebreeze the heck out of the place
Location: Hop on/Hop off bus tour was worth it; Eyre Square Centre (shopping), pubs/restaurants within 5-10 min walk.
We had the two bedroom apartment with the corner living room with glass walls and a great view of the Eyre Square/city. Good sized bedrooms, large bathroom, great shower, access to roof top garden area. Very clean, good size TV in the living room. Secure access to the apartments and garage (free parking). Unfortunately, when we checked in, the first thing we noticed was a musty smell. Could have been previous smokers or just it was closed up too long. There is no circulation in the two bedrooms; the AC is only in the living room area. Few accessories for the kitchen (no dust pad to sweep things up, no towels to dry dishes, etc.) The beds were quite firm... that may be a personal preference. It was very nice to be walking distance to pretty much everything: 2 min walk to the Eyre Centre shopping mall; 10 min max walking to a ton of restaurants, pubs, shops. It was a little pricey, but to have a 2-bedroom apartment close to everything was worth the extra euro.

great location

Read the other review too! You have to check in at the hotel down the block, which is not well stated in the information. The apartment was spacious with a great view. The location is in the heart of Galway, which made getting around super easy. We had laundry in the apartment, which was a huge plus on our long vacation. The apartment itself was well kept, but not super fancy. Parking is available in the underground garage. Aside from the semi-difficult check-in process, we would recommend this place to others.

Yucky and mediocre

Good location, but HORRIFIC beds with no fresh smell (uncomfortable), bathrooms that appeared clean, but shower perimeters encrusted with black mold/mildew. AVOID

Great accommodation

We weren't happy with the allocated apartment as noisy smelly extractor fan outside bedroom but staff were very good and offered a different apartment.
