Eikelandsosen is situated at the eastern end of the fjord, providing a scenic backdrop of mountains and water. You'll find local shops, a grocery store, and a few eateries here, making it convenient for daily needs. Osøyro, further west along the fjord, is a larger settlement with more facilities, including a cultural centre and additional dining options. For couples looking for a tranquil escape with beautiful views, staying in a fjord-side cabin or a hotel near Eikelandsosen is ideal. The natural surroundings allow for peaceful walks along the water, and you can easily arrange boat trips or kayaking directly from your accommodation. There are often local parks and open spaces for children, and the proximity to the fjord offers opportunities for gentle water activities.

The best time to visit Fusa is during the summer months, from June to August, when the weather is at its mildest and the days are long.During this period, the average temperatures are comfortable, typically ranging from 15°C to 20°C, making it ideal for outdoor activities like hiking, fishing, and exploring the fjords. The extended daylight hours, with the sun setting very late, provide ample opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of the Vestland region. This is also when most local attractions and services are fully operational. For those looking to avoid larger crowds but still enjoy pleasant weather, late spring (May) and early autumn (September) are also good choices. The temperatures are cooler but still agreeable, and the landscapes are particularly picturesque with spring blossoms or autumn colours.
