This property is open space, meaning that all areas are common to the same space, being distributed and equipped in a functional way. With a double bed and a sofa bed, this studio is for a maximum of 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. The living room gives access to a small balcony, with a seating area inviting for a leisure time, where you can contemplate the sea and the sky on sunny days while enjoying a coffee and/or a good wine. In this calm and sunny building there is a swimming pool available, shared by the condominium, where you can take advantage of the good weather to go swimming. There is also a bar and a small grocery store. Wi-Fi available in all areas. Property with free parking, in a park reserved for residents, subject to availability. AREA The property is located in Rua da Quinta da Calaça, one of Funchal's tourist areas and within easy reach of the available beaches (paid and free) along the Promenade. This is a privileged area as it is close to the Forum Madeira shopping centre, paddle tennis courts, gardens, restaurants, bars/cafes, shops and other essential services and is a 7 minute drive from the centre of Funchal or 30 minutes on foot. It is also very close to the town of Câmara de Lobos where you can take the opportunity to explore some touristic attractions and taste the famous regional "poncha". In Funchal city centre there are several touristic points of interest and information about cultural activities, radical activities, nature related activities, whatever the purpose of your visit to Madeira Island. GETTING AROUND The best option to get to the property will be the transfer. Ask us to book one with our local partners. It is cheaper than the taxis you find at the airport. If you rent a car, any navigation app can easily find the address. ACCESS TO PROPERTY You have access to all areas of the property. INTERACTION We are always available to help or answer questions. OTHER OBSERVATIONS \- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (passport or identity card). \- Check-in hour must be scheduled in advance. We can also put a baby cot, a high chair and a baby bath if needed, but you should request. There are a first aid kit, extinguishers and fire blanket in the property. ATTENTION Please be advised that a Tourist Fee will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Funchal. Thus, all customers staying in tourist resorts and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay. The host manages a number of properties so every time we had a question there was time spent explaining at which property we were staying which was frustrating. There was so much written communication from the host beforehand that I had to plow through emails to find the check-in process which did not make much sense. There was missing (the code to get in is through the basement door not the front door) and inaccurate (there is no drawer in the kitchen with instruction manuals or any manuals at all for that matter) information. The property looks bigger in the pictures and, although the unit is accurately described as a studio, it is more of a tiny apartment. For example, the drawers in the closet don’t open all the way because the closet door blocks the way and if you want to eat at the fold-up table, there is no room to walk around it. Finally, this is not a place for non-smokers who want to leave the windows open at night to hear the ocean, as tenants in nearby apartments smoke and it comes through Into the unit.
