Estuvimos 15 dias en la casa pequeña de los Melindros. Lourdes nos recibió con mucha amabilidad. La casa está situada al suroeste de la isla, donde más abunda el sol !! Es un lugar tranquilo y con unas vistas y puestas de sol impresionantes. La cocina es grande y está muy bien equipada. Encontramos la casa muy limpia y en perfectas condiciones de uso. Estando al lado de la casona tiene su propia terraza y jardín con barbacoa. Además también habían lavadora, sombrillas, tumbonas, e incluso toallas de playa. Desde el lugar se puede caminar directamente y conectar rápido con la ruta de los volcanes. También hay playas y buenos restaurantes en las cercanías. Resumiendo, un lugar muy tranquilo para emprender las rutas por la isla y descansar a entre medias. Nos queda agradecer a Lourdes y Cristóbal por la amabilidad que nos han mostrado. La casona ha sido restaurada con un gusto exquisito al estilo canario colonial y dispone de todas las comodidades. Las vistas (océano a perder de vista, viñas y volcanes Teneguía y San Antonio) son impresionantes, tanto que dan ganas de quedarse el día entero sentado en su balconada de madera. Los propietarios, Cristóbal y Lourdes, son agradabilísimos, y Lourdes, un autentico dechado de generosidad (vino casero, bizcocho delicioso, fruta, leche y zumos nos esperaban el primer día, adicionado a mermeladas buenísimas que trajo después!!), ademas de proporcionarte conocimientos muy útiles para disfrutar de la isla y sus rincones. Nada más llegar Lourdes nos recibió en la casa con un pastelon riquísimo, una cesta de frutas y una botella de vino de su cosecha muy bueno. La casa una maravilla totalmente equipada. La dueña es majísima, te dedica todo el tiempo del mundo y además de orientarte respecto a cómo moverte y qué ver, te recibe con una serie de detalles muy de agradecer y está predispuesta a ayudarte en todo lo que necesites. Además, la casa es perfecta, está situada muy cerca de una playa preciosa, y con unas vistas espectaculares al océano. Las camas son buenísimas, se duerme genial, y está todo acondicionado y muy limpio. En definitiva, una casa perfecta para pasar unas semanas en la Palma, descansar, desconectar y visitar la isla. Y tiene Los Melindros, claro. Por las mañanas había que hacer un esfuerzo para salir de casa… ¿Cómo voy a dejar este pequeño paraíso ahora que lo he encontrado? Bueno, después del desayuno, y esperando que nadie descubriera nuestro escondite, salíamos a conocer la isla. ¿Ruta por los pinares? ¿Por los Tilos? ¿Conocer alguna playa quizá? Al regresar, todo seguía como cuando lo dejamos en la mañana. Cerveza artesanal hecha en La Palma, o alguno de sus vinos con denominación de origen, aperitivo, y el sol que se pierde allá en el horizonte, donde acaba el mar. Si alguien sabe cómo se para el tiempo, que por favor me lo diga. Hemos estado unos días en la casona en nuestra visita a La Palma, con nuestra familia. La casa es maravillosa, todo, sus pisos y techos de madera, sus muebles, la decoración exquisita, hace que la estancia sea muy acogedora. Tiene unos jardines y terrazas muy bonitos y cuidados que son fantásticos para ver las puestas de sol. Dispone de todas las comodidades y sino Lourdes,la dueña, te lo consigue. Incluso en enero cuando fuimos, el tiempo en la zona donde estaba la casa era muy agradable. Los dueños son muy simpáticos y hospitalarios, al llegar había un rico pastel,fruta, vino... lo que se agradece mucho. También nos ayudaron y aconsejaron sobre los encantos de la isla, que son muchos!
