Dump hotel with freaky staff
I have severe lower back problems and hotel did not have some necessities I needed (luggage carrier and elevator). Upon asking about the cancellation policy, the manager’s husband became very aggressive and belligerent. He then stated all this was my fault, blah, blah, blah. When I asked him if he was talking to me this way, he said “yes, he was talking to me this way, all this was my fault…” and he proceeded to take an aggressive stance. At that point I exited the building and called Expedia. Expedia was fantastic. They got me a reservation at a different hotel. Whether I should have know about the luggage carrier and elevator prior to my arrival is irrelevant. Being put in a situation where I felt threaten is in inexcusable.

Upon entering Alpine Inn and asking at 1:30 pm if your room is available to check in and finding out that it was not you demanded a cancellation. Our check-in time is at 4 pm and when we are able to accommodate a guest earlier we do but that day we were not.
Your demand of cancellation without fee at that time was not in order. Your room was located downstairs so you would not have to walk up the stairs and you were also told that someone can help out with luggage at the time of check in and check out.
We decided to proceed with allowing cancellation without fee in order to avoid any other unnecessary confrontation.
