We were allowed to check in early, which was nice, but there was a line of three guests and one of the front desk agents did not offer to help, he just stood around. One woman was on her own, and she was pleasant despite having to take care of all the guests by herself. She made sure to acknowledge the guests who were waiting. The best thing about the room are the comfortable bed and pillows. The room was relativley clean but in terrible disrepair. The smoke detector was dangling from the ceiling by a cord, the shower curtain had a foot long tear in it, the screen was gone from one window and the other window would not shut, the television kept showing a message that the signal was weak and the bedside lamp was not working.
There was a group of young people in the whirlpool being loud all night until 6:30 am so we did not sleep at all. I called the front desk three times and was told 1. the security guard was sent to quiet them down (a lie because I watched for him for 15 minutes and no one ever came to talk to them) 2. they were reluctant to tell them to be quiet or leave because it was one of their birthdays. The people cleaning the banquet room after a party (at 3:00 am!) kept banging plastic trays on the ground outside our window and made a lot of noise and talked loudly. The front desk agent basically refused to help me so I gave up. The next morning, the halls were filthy and smelled strongly of marijuana, we could not wait to get out of there.
