Close to the university and many stores

Posted 26-Jun-2017
I was here for business, and gone mostly during the day, but during the evening, it wasn't quiet. There seemed to be no moderation of noise from the pool area (which is nice, but small for so many guests, especially in the summer heat) even after 8pm, when you might expect things to settle down. I was booked in a hall with a group of guests, and they were very loud late at night and early in the morning, made worse by a hardwood hallway, rather than carpet. But the room was very clean and comfortable and the AC worked very well. The wifi is quite slow, however. With all that said, having read reviews of other places, I would return to stay here, since the rooms themselves are well kept.

Close to the activities and additional travel.

I did not research the hotel as well I should have. The room was clean, there was no hair dryer, the breakfast was good , location a bit on the rough side.

Pros: The hotel rate was very reasonable.
The exterior appearance of the hotel was nice. The hotel was not very secured. The parking security gate opened anytime, weather a vehicle was entering or exiting. Some of the security doors of the hotel were left unlocked. Although we did not mind the outdated rooms, we did not care for the partial uncleanliness.

Cons: WE LIKED IT!
Location: WE JUST STOPPED FOR A NIGHT. DON'T KNOW WHAT WAS CLOSE BY.
THIS IS A NICE HOTEL. CLEAN, SPACIOUS ROOMS AT A REALLY GREAT PRICE AND A FULL BREAKFAST THE NEXT MORNING. BEST VALUE OF OUR 2 WEEK TRIP!

Hotel is older - but clean.

Posted 06-Jun-2017
This hotel is located right across the street from CSUF. It is older but kept clean. The staff is friendly & seem to do their best. However they have quite a problem with their room key set up. Most of the guests I spoke with, as well as myself, had to repeatedly go back to the desk to get their room keys reset because the key would not work! It put me in danger since I was traveling alone and could not access my room & at one time I was stranded outside the hotel at night because the key would not allow me access into the hotel. Thankfully another guest came along & allowed me entrance. I would not recommend this hotel for those traveling by themselves- for safety reasons.

Sad but True. No longer our Fab Hotel

Posted 03-Jun-2017
We have been staying here a few times a year for over 12 years. We watched it go from the Picadilli to the University Square. We watched the rooms go thru updates... but sadly the updating was cheaply done and made the hotel worse - just a bandaid. They put laminate floors in the rooms and hall ways. Nice right? Wrong!, Now you can hear everyone in their rooms and noise is amplified in the halls. You would also think that the floors would be clean bc of this, but you can now tell that the floors are not mopped regularly (Our feet/socks were black from the floors). You can now see all the dust bunnies. Table clothes in the lobby where you eat breakfast are not laundered and show grime on the edges (glass covers the tops of the tables, but the table clothes hang over the edge of the tables and are very dirty). The last complaint is that homeless people walk right in and have breakfast with you. One homeless woman made a scene when asked to leave. We even changed rooms during our stay, come to find our new room had missing tiles in the shower. This will be our last stay.

Hotel had too much noise at night

Posted 30-May-2017
Pros: Pool was clean but not heated.
Cons: Security
Location: They are next to a black angus where we had a good dinner.
Both nights we stayed, there were people hanging out on the second floor hallways. I confronted approx 25 younger adults just running around. Kept us awake. We moved out a day early to another hotel. Perhaps some security checking what is happening. Hot tub was luke warm.
