Other reviews were right, very ehhh.
I was staying overnight on a work-related trip. Check in was fairly easy, hotel staff was decent. Old hotel with some upgrades, but still worn & seedy. Security is a concern. While the parking lot was gated, the general area was poorly lit IMO. A lot of blind spots for bad things to happen.
My room had new floors, bathroom remodel, walls, etc. Although the room was fairly clean, it still reeked of old hotel: Musty, smoky, sweaty, psuedo-locker room. It had an old thermostat, like 1970s. While the furnace worked, you could feel pockets of cold air, typical of a building with questionable insulation. The room had a King and Queen bed: The King was sunk in from heavy use and not very comfortable, the Queen was only slightly better. The was a microwave and coffee, didn't use them though. Bathroom was fully functional. Flatscreen TV was decent, though there seemed to be interference with satellite reception on occasion. Most bothersome was when I went to bed around midnight: You could hear people yelling in the hallways and even in other rooms. Again, another indicator of an older hotel; the walls don't offer much soundproofing. When I awoke the next day, I noticed the smoke alarm had been disconnected. Complimentary breakfast was very subpar(cheap), I could have skipped it.
In fairness, I've stayed in worse places for much more money. OTOH, I also know there were hotels nearby that offered a much better product for only a slightly higher price. Just being honest.
